When are they going to just start making factory rifles, or at the very least stripped lowers.
Stripped lowers... in for 10! |

No doubt Geissele is going to make some good mounts.
I use LaRue because they were the only game in town 10+ years ago when I fell into this addiction. I was Bobro curious but they huge locking lever and the tight ring spacing turned me off. As far as a LaRue marring the rail... Adjust it right, lube it, and it won't. LaRue needs to get off his ass and mill the Picatinny rails off the 3,6, and 9:00 sides, cut in some MLOK or Keymod slots and get with the times. |

So what's with all of the people saying they will get rid of their LT104s when we don't have any details other than a pic? This thing looks like it is probably going to be either the same weight or heavier and I doubt it will be any cheaper. It's also butt ugly.

I have actually shot a rifle with it mounted. Hell, I took the pic :-D |

Mount is not a new product as we've been cranking them out since the spring for DOD customers. Material is 2099 advance aluminum lithium alloy. Request was not made for a QD system. Further details will be released closer to SHOT Show.

I personally love the color, the pics just never do it justice.

Looks neat, but Midwest Industries' new QD mount is the shit.
|
|
To me, it is too bulky and boxy looking. I would've preferred a more minimalist design, and of course QD capability. I actually like their DDC.

This was leaked months ago. Bill did an interview that had a photo of him sitting in front of a few machines and a gun safe. A raw mount was on one of the machines. Glad it is fully out of the bag now.

View Quote I'm intrigued. Can we expect the announcement of a 2099 Al-Li rail announced at shot show? |

I don't like the color but I'll wait until the final product is available to us and see if they come out with other colors.

Not a fan of the huge nuts on the side. I'd rather see flush screws. I really dig Geissele rails though.

So Larue starts making triggers and now Geissele starts making optics mounts.
Coincidence? |
|
The picture with the Razors at the end of page 1 make me want to get one of these.
And I have my Razor 1-6 in an ADM. Why Bill? Why why why? |

Quoted: So whats so special about the alloy they're using? View Quote My guess is it saves some weight. Frankly it reminds me of a fancy PEPR mount. IMO, they need a QD design or a more streamlined focus on weight like the Aero mounts. On the other hand, they have a DOD contract, so it's not like they need the civi sales. Not to mention some people will buy it just because of the DOD contract. |

View Quote Barrett learned the hard way long ago not to rest on their laurels of mil contracts. Civilian sales bring in much needed cash flow during lulls between mil contracts. |
