lol it's been covered number of times. That dude you quoted, keeps stalking me around GD and posting that every time. I thing he has a thing for me. I keep trying to tell him I'm not gay.... View Quote just once a year or so make sure people are aware of the caliber of individual they are dealing with it is interesting that for such an active gun buyer/trader/builder you have zero feedback here why is that ? |

Mustang has 435, I think the GX470 is only 230. They're both daily drivers I guess.

Ford Excursion V10 rated at 310. However it also weighs 4 1/2 tons.
To be fair I usually take public transportation. However I think the train engine does make over 300hp. |

The current technology of engines is great, but I still think the sound of the 60's ad early 70's chevy v-8's, solid lifter cams, will never be replaced as the pure sound of horsepower. Recently traded my 2013 camaro ss for a 1967 Camaro being prepped for a year model accurate 396.... View Quote |

Outcome ? View Quote - I immediately told him to send me the parts he cut off and $$ to cover the cost of having exhaust shop weld them back on.....or I will be reversing the charge with American Express (dumbass took PP payment, not so smart if you gonna fuck with people's property) - He refused and American Express gave me my money back after I presented them with evidence of what he did. - In the end I ended up with the exhaust as he never send me a return shipping label to have his hacked up stuff back. |

I'm looking at a turbo swap to get my fiesta st around 300hp. Should be fun in such a little car.

You have to hear a Hellcat. Loudest factory car I have ever heard. You can't even talk when it fires up in the morning, too loud to hear anything. The closest thing I can remember was my cousin's '67 427 Vette (I was told it was an L88 and it's entirely possible, my cousin was car crazy and had many hi-po chevys). [Q]Does your daily driver make 300+ hp?[/q] Lol No Neither one https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/648/20170711-175709-251698.jpg View Quote |

I rotate between three and none make 300hp. ~38-236 depending on the weather.

My daily driver is a boring mid sized sedan. It does not make 300 hp, but I swear it's invisible to police. I never get pulled over in it no matter what stupid things I do. I bought a 4.0 Mustang for a weekend fun car. I may tune it to get somewhat close to 300 HP. From what I understand it's not too hard to do. You can get over 400 hp if you really want to spend some money. I won't go that crazy.

The truck is 365hp/420tq with a 6speed at 5k lbs.
The fast one is 400 lbs wet and 100 hp/45 tq at the wheel. |

Per Toyota, a 178 HP 4 banger.
That is the HP of almost every factory V-8 in my early years. I also get calculated 33 MPG in a nice comfortable package. |

My stealth bro-dozer goes close to 600hp. Duramax LLY with a lot of goodies under the hood and in the tranny. Looks stock

LOL. Not even close.
112 HP when it was new, and that was 31 years ago. It might make 80 HP now. |

I distinctly remember this Motortrend article in back in 1995 as my dad bought a new 1996 Mystic Mustang Cobra when I was a senior in high school.
The article featured the 10 most powerful cars available for sale in the US. Average HP.....310. http://www.motortrend.com/cars/chevrolet/impala/1996/americas-most-powerful/ Here is a snip: "The 10 most powerful American-built ’96 models gathered for this test produce an average of 310 horsepower. In model year ’89 (hardly ancient history) the most powerful American production car was the L98 5.7-liter V-8 Corvette, and it made only 245 horsepower. But the horsepower explosion of the ’90s doesn’t stop with this elite group; everything is more powerful. Consider that the 2.5-liter DOHC V-6 in the ’96 Ford Contour produces 20 more horsepower than did the 5.0-liter V-8 in the ’90 Ford Crown Victoria (150 to 170)." And the stats: Attached File |

2004.5 Chevrolet CCSB Duramax
Suncoast Stage 4 Allison, 1057 converter, FASS 150 lift pump, fuel rail shim, Garrett Powermax Stage 2 turbo, Diamond Eye downpipe, MBRP exhaust, AFE intake, head studs, etc., etc. 585ish hp at the rear wheels, and 1200 ftlbs of torque at 7050 lbs curb weight. I need to dig up the dyno sheet if I can find it. Best 1/4 mile time was 12.85 @ 112 mph. |
|
Yup.
I don't really understand how somene could even consider driving a vehicle that had less than 300hp. It has to suck knowing that everyone else on the road can just blow past you any time they want and there is nothing you can do about it. |

2002 Toyota Echo. 102 hp when new and it has 196000 on it , so no.
Still will run on the highway with the AC full on at 46MPG when I can get far enough away from New England to get non gasahol |
