The same way they will enforce the "universal checks"...they can't

How the hell to they expect to enforce that? Magpul needs to cease dating mags NOW. |

Here is the possession issue: HB 13-1224 "A person may possess a large-capacity magazine if he or she owns the large-capacity magazine on the effective date of the bill and maintains continuous possession of the large-capacity magazine. A person who sells, transfers, or possesses a large-capacity magazine in violation of the new provision commits a class 2 misdemeanor." So just new ones got it. Still dont give a fuck Cheyenne here I come. |

Quoted: This guy might be retarded. And he's a teacher. "Using data - whether it's verifiable or not - it's common sense to say if high capacity magazines and assault weapons were eliminated, we would have less kids murdered" |

No more proponents. Returning to opponents after a short recess.

I just ordered 10 more 30rd PMAGs. I think this one is gonna make it out of committee. Unconstitutional laws aren't laws. I'm sure they'll be selling Pmags in Utah. Wyoming is closer for andra and me. And yes I'll be making the drive fuck em. This bans possession right? It does but I don't give a fuck. Existing ones already owned at the time the bill is signed are grandfathered in. How the hell to they expect to enforce that? There's another part that any new mags made in CO will need to be serialized. But as long as you can find an out of state mag with a born on date before the law is signed, they'll have no way to prove anything. Unenforceable laws are unenforceable. Now we get to deal with "pre-ban" shit all over again. |

I'm sick as a dog or I would be there . When are the next election?

"We have aggressive expansion plans in CO in the next 5 years. That plan has already been halted due to this bill."

The fucking daggers that Fields is shooting out of her eyes should be banned. Been that way every time the opposers speak.

House Chair trying to tell Magpul that this bill is not reading as Magpul (and myself and many others!) read it. Magpul could continue to manufacture PMAGs here.
Piers morgan wanna be:
Mr. Magpul, you will still be able to manufacture magpul items here, you just can't sell them to Colorado peasants. |
Gardner is puzzled by Kagan's comments as he reads the bill the same way Magpul does.

Why stay in a state that says you are making a product that you can't sell there? Unless they plan on having an exception for po-po, that is. |
In 2010, Magpul fulfilled 1,000,000 magazine order for British MoD. This follows line of questioning by Gardner trying to understand the bill.
Under the terms of this bill, Magpul couldn't manufacture magazines for places like Britain under this bill.
No exemption for Magpul employees to possess the magazines even during production. No provisions for transport, possession, etc.
Magpul would have to leave CO very quickly if this bill passes. |
"Basically we've engaged in national security legislation in who it would be appropriate for you to manufacture for and who it wouldn't be [...] which is astounding to me."

"Does not state that your employees cannot be charged with possession. I don't think it's the intent of the bill to prohibit the manufacture."
Rep Kagan |

Rep Fields, sponsor of the bill, "will accept amendment to make it clear that there is no ban on manufacture in CO"

might as well start packing NOW.
you cant tell a company WHO they can and cannot make plastic/polymer parts for! LMFAO what a crcok |
Their interpretation doesn't mean jack. The bill needs to be clear...and Magpul needs to end sales to any Colorado agency if this passes. Hell, they need to move all of their revenue out of this state even if it passes with an amendment to allow production. |
Bill drafter speaking now, claims that it's supposed to exempt manufacture.
I sincerely hope that Magpul takes a stand and states for the record that they will pack up and move if this passes, exemption or not.

From HB 13-1224:
"A person who sells, transfers, or possesses a large-capacity magazine in violation of the new provision commits a class 2 misdemeanor. A large-capacity magazine that is manufactured in Colorado on or after the effective date of the bill must include a serial number and the date upon which the large-capacity magazine was manufactured or assembled. The serial number and date must be legibly and conspicuously engraved or cast upon the outer surface of the large-capacity magazine. The Colorado bureau of investigation may promulgate rules that may require a large-capacity magazine that is manufactured on or after the effective date of the bill to bear identifying information in addition to the serial number and date of assembly." The first paragraph could prevent the sale of items manufactured per the second paragraph. |
