There were "numerous gunmen" Wednesday morning at the Canada War Memorial shooting, said Marc Soucy of the Ottawa Police Service. Authorities are working to figure out if there were two or three gunmen, he said. Only one person was shot, Soucy said. |

 One doesn't have to be a terrorism expert to know Martin "Ahmad" Couture-Rouleau was an Islamic terrorist and that on Monday he carried out a terrorist attack against Canada. His father had contacted police, worried his 25-year-old son had been converted to radical Islamism and wanted to go overseas to fight for Islamic State (ISIS). The RCMP had seized his passport as a result. So instead of fighting abroad, Couture-Rouleau heeded the call of Islamic State's Muhammad Al-Adnani, who last month called on its followers to kill Canadians and others by various means including, to "slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car." |

Of all the conflicting reports, likely situation is two gunman, one hit the soldier at the memorial and moved on Parliament. 2nd appears to have shot near the Hotel east of Parliament and now reports of shots at the Rideau Centre, across the street from the hotel. Time line is unknown. Seems like an awful lot of time passed between shootings.

The suspect was killed after his car rolled over fleeing the scene and he was shot by police.
