Atheists typically feel the same way about religion as believers feel about religions other than theirs. Stupid billboard though. |

Everyone who is upset has forgotten why this country exists. Because this country was founded by Christians fleeing persecution from England Not exactly. They came here because they were obnoxious assholes who couldn't get along with the decent people in England. Listen! The only reason this country is where it is today is because of its once profound relationship with/to God. Now we are continuing to rapidly move away from Him, and we will continue to see the rapid deterioration of freedoms that come along with such choices. It will not be getting any better in this country. God is no respector of nations, and He considers them less than a drop in the bucket. Those two statements seem rather contradictory. |

I don't know why some atheists bother with churchianity. Most regular church services are perfunctory, as are the beliefs engendered, worshiping on conditioned demand and on regular timetables. |

The type of atheists who put up that billboard are like flamboyant gays. They need attention, and thrive on making others uncomfortable or angry. The best thing that one can do with those types is act as if you don't even see them. They're attention whores. Whatever.
They are certainly not representative of mainstream atheists, who basically don't care what others think, and just want to live and let live. |

I agree, stay the hell home like you do the other 50 Sundays of the year.
Fuckers show up 2 Sundays a year (Christmas and Easter), contribute nothing to the church, and crowd out the regular parishioners. If you fit this description, stay home - we won't miss you. |
