When I first started in LE, I worked as a deputy in this county. Most of our shifts had 2 on, but I frequently worked alone for the whole county Looks pretty there. I have roughly 328 times more people in my county. Its gorgeous. I miss it there but 24k a year wasn't cutting it Yikes, I dont imagine it would. Bad thing about pretty mountains though is helping scrape people off of pretty mountains Was there a specialty mountain rescue unit or were you too small of an agency for that? |

Whats the most exciting call you have gotten within the past... month? How often do you use your PVS-14? Is it department supplied or your personal gear? View Quote Local tweeker (drivers license lists him over 220 and he is about 105 now) is convinced there are people living in the barn in a 'secret room' near his house...its the horse that lives there making the noise. Its been pretty slow lately. |

Do you keep any survival gear (i.e. sleeping bag, water) in the car in case it breaks down in a remote area?

What's your typical response time when responding to non emergency runs?

Have you trained with Marty Hayes at FAS? I have not. I had actually never heard of them until I googled it just now. Great training group. I've done many classes and had a bunch of Feds in the classes. My best buddy was once the SGM of a Force Recon unit. He is now a region Director of a Fed Agency that shoots a lot. I think you would enjoy the training. |

How many were trannies? |

View Quote Too many to count, most of the time you would be glad they were doing it where no one would be able to see them. Not too easy on the eyes, even though every cop knows it when there is a naked female call everyone goes, just hoping it might turn out different. No trannies that I know of. |

Hope you don't have any banks in your AO 25 mins there long gone..

who did you piss off to get such a drastic "non-disciplinary" reassignment?

Have you ever ran into any guys like Trevor Phillips from GTA V? That seems like the sort of area they would like.
Are you using your unit's computer to look at ARF? |

I also questioned the legality of the actions of some non-commisioned employees. Thats about all I have to say about that. |

Just had a man who was arrested for DUI scream "Hands up dont shoot" over and over and the top of his lungs. He was an elderly white man...interesting.

OPSEC fail...now you have to figure out which of the 600 or so road cops I am. That sounds like a lot of effort, and would probably end badly for me...bashing around rural KingCo with a snootful of gin looking for a deputy to annoy...I dunno, just seems like a bad idea in general. No, your secret identity is safe from me. |

I guess cruising in the country at night would get old. I bet the hardest part is staying awake. On the other hand, not having to deal with non stop idiots does have its benfits.

See any weird shit ( unusual animals etc?)
Round here recently a few folks I know have been hearing wolf howls which is weird as far as I'm aware our area has no wolves |

If you saw the owner come out of the bar, drunk, and "drive" his horse down the road, would you pull him over for DWI/DUI? I might watch him for a couple laughs...and to call the amberlamps if he falls off. Id rather have him on a horse than behind the wheel. Im not one of those guys who does DUIs for people sleeping in parking lots in their car. In my mind all that does is tell them to drive home next time. They are trying to make the best out of the situation they put themselves in, why punish someone for making the better (or less worse) decision? |
