Really nothing I wanted earlier this year, went on sale on BF.  Some things I sort of wanted, weren't cheap enough to make it worthwhile, after shipping costs.

Kind of.  Was lookin' for the primary arms  4x 7.62x39 prism scope, but bought the .223/ 5.45 /.308 one instead.  Still want the 4x 7.62x39 one.  Maybe Christmas...

Edit:  And some soft point 7.62x39 ammo.

$13 Pistol Gas Tube
$90 ALG 10" Rail
Raven Magpul Holsters/Double Mag Pouches at ~60% off

Bought a few things locally, but no screaming deals.

I just bought an IR Hunter Mk II 35mm thermal scope from TNVC- Retail $6495.00 (Black Friday Pricing $5196.00) with free overnight shipping. That's a $1,400+ discount. Comes with a mini-dvd recorder/player as a gift. Kicks it up to about $1.650.00 off.

Black Friday...not so bad.

I've been looking to get in to the AR10 game for awhile. I really like the Aero Precision M5. So with 15% off site wide and the amazing PA deal on Geissele triggers I made out pretty well.

I pieced together an 18" 308 build that mirrors the Aero 18" factory built rifle, but with an Aero nickel boron bcg, Geissele SSA-E, BCM charging handle, and BCM comp.  All for less than Aero's standard 18" offering.

I got a set of the HighCom 10x12 plates, a Geissele SSA, some Fusion MSR from PSA, and a 420 round can of XM193 from MassAmmo....oh, and a couple T-shirts from SilencerCo.  Was really hoping for the BOGO muzzle devices from SilencerCo again...

I didn't get any gun stuff. Local sports warehouse place had LC9S pros for $319, but I didn't bite. I bought about $40 in blurays at WM and BB and we got some sheets sets. Didn't spend much, which is a good thing! Gun sales seemed much less exciting this year than the last few...

I bought 500 new primed LC 308 brass for $127 shipped.  Not becaue it was a smoking deal, but because I needed some.  I bought 1000  .380  100 gr bullets for $69 shipped.  Bought a LAPG range bag because I had a 15% off coupon code $48 shipped.  I bought 250 rounds of 9mm Federal HST 147 gr.  $116 shipped. I needed some reloading components and a replacement for a 23 year old range bag.  The Federal HST is my go to H/D and CCW load. Spent all my stashed funds .... now I'm poor.

I didn't do any impulse buys based on great sales... I just took advantage of the discounts to pay less for what I was going to be getting anyway.

Silencerco had a discount on their gear, I picked up Omega endcaps all the muzzle devices I needed to get my collection ready for when my two Omega's get out of jail.  Saved a couple hundred bucks there.

Brownells had 10% off storewide (10% off military pricing, even) and I happened to have several hundred dollars of build components in my cart... rails, Mlok stuff, short throw safeties, etc.

Primary Arms had good prices on several items I was looking for, including the 4 Raptor charging handles I needed.

Mas Defense had 15% off pretty much everything. I had some gas blocks and tubes and a barrel set to go there.

PSA had ...meh... reasonable prices... on their lowers and free shipping, so I picked up another 5 lowers. My FFL only charges $10 per transfer, not per serial number, so it pays to buy a few at a time.

I spent way too much money yesterday. lol. But I figure it's money I was going to spend anyway, so it's better to save a few bucks by getting it all at once on BF.

I also picked up an Aimpoint T-2 from opticsplanet for $512 shipped... but that was last week in what I assume was a pricing error.

After work I headed to a few places for stuff I had my eye on. Home Depot was the first stop, the parking lot looked like any other night, pretty much dead. Then I headed to Wal-Mart, told my son to get ready for the insanity. We get there and again, pretty quiet. Sears, dead. I guess Black Friday was pretty much a bust this year.

There are some deals to be had but Black Friday is primarily about retailers making money.  People buy stuff they don't need but buy because, "it's a good deal."  Most times it's not that good of a deal but hey, it's Black Friday so it's a good deal right?

Bought some misc items from PSA to complete a build I'm in the middle of.

Kind of annoyed that PSA always charges your card instantly...i can understand in instances of custom built stuff.  But for off the shelf items is . Even more annoying if they take weeks to ship that.

it is the absolute worse situation when you have one rifle half built, and you have parts coming in for build 2, 3, 4, 5 , and 6

We are all so spoiled right now with the way prices are that we will be looking back on these times in a few months and kicking ourselves. $500 Bushmasters? Most of us didn't even pick one up. We will wish we did in November.

Everything I bought that was gun related I didnt need. I bought all of this shit simply because I knew that If I waited for the time to come when I actually did need it, I would be paying substantially more. Now Im going to be sitting on a pile of parts and accessories that I will inevitably use in the future. If I dont, then oh well, I will sell them in the EE at a fair current market price.
