Good game? I don't have espn.
Grand slam might be the back breaker. |

Was Jon Kruk ever not fat? View Quote I always loved the following story. It was spring training, and John Kruk was significantly overweight. He was also drinking beer and smoking cigarettes. A woman recognized him, and she approached him. “You should be ashamed of yourself. You’re an athlete,” she said. Kruk responded, “I ain’t an athlete, lady. I’m a baseball player.” |

Hats off to SF. Watching Voloquez, I knew we were in trouble in the second inning. Even if he was lights out, I think the Pirates would have had their hands full. Bumgardener is that good when he's on, and he was lights out tonight. I'm off to watch some hockey now, but my wife will be pulling for SF since they now have Tim Hudson.
ETA: I had fun this season, and I like the direction the Pirates are going. If Hurdle keeps this up, the Pirates are going to become a place where people are going to want to play again. |

Moetown Steve isn't surprising. That guy knows a lot about baseball.
I'm still in there for now. |

Quoted: No A's made decisions at the trade deadline. I'm not sure they made good ones. They sucked so much ass down the stretch, it was epic. So Nancy Pelosi is next door neighbors with the gNats owner and Pelosi claims her dad was the mayor responsible for bringing the STL Browns to Baltimore.
She also is pulling for the Giants to win Just thought I'd share |

Trade Cespedes for Lester so you can beat the Tigers in the post season with a pitcher who can't beat the Tigers in the post season...and then bare eek out a wild card slot because you can't score runs without you cleanup hitter, and wind up out of the post season picture? Oh, and Lester is a rental. They gave up Cespedes and got nothing back. Yeah, smooth move Billy! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Oh, and Lester is a rental. They gave up Cespedes and got nothing back. Yeah, smooth move Billy! No shit, I sure hope the moves the Red Sox made with STL work out better for the Cardinals. However, after watching 87% of their games this year, I'm thinking it's the Dodgers series to lose as they have great pitching and good hitting, STL has good pitching and almost no offense at times ( like when going against CY Young winners). |

Quoted: It pains me to say I could be a stud in the Tigers bullpen. View Quote The bullpen has been a problem for years. I think it's built on an Indian burial ground. They bring in un hittable relievers and the go to shit. They bring up relievers who pitch like shit and become unhittable when they go somewhere else. They do have Sanchez, Al Al and Nathan available tomorrow though, which better than what we saw tonight. JV starting tomorrow. Justin is 7-0 with a 2.84 ERA at Camden Yards, and he has also never lost in the ALDS. Bad game, but I'm not worried. I want the Tigers to lose 2 games in this series. No sweeps, no downtime.
