After rotating through a S&W Model 66 snub, and S&W .40 cal for CCW, I bought a G29 in 1997 and didn't feel the need to buy another handgun until 2005, and that was just for S&Gs.

Looks like the .40 is fading fast.
I remember being enamored by all of the gun rags at the time about how wonderful it was, bridging the gap yada, yada, yada. |
