After rotating through a S&W Model 66 snub, and S&W .40 cal for CCW, I bought a G29 in 1997 and didn't feel the need to buy another handgun until 2005, and that was just for S&Gs.

G29 awesome gun.

I have a gen2 G19 that I bought in 1991.

that gun has accurately fired about 3k rounds without a failure to feed, fire, or extract.

My first is a 1991 also

It was my match bitch for almost 20 years

Have around 120k out of it

In that time had  2 fails to feed both with 10rd 2183 follower mags which is a known issue , and broke a trigger return spring at about 80k

On the flip side the early 21 22 and 20 from about the same era I had all had a few feeding issues

Enough so I replaced them with later models

Looks like the .40 is fading fast.

I remember being enamored by all of the gun rags at the time about how wonderful it was, bridging the gap yada, yada, yada.
