Link to lame MLB "fight?"

Dude is a hell of a pitcher, and is the reason my Royal's aren't sporting back to back Championships. He dominated us 2 years ago from the mound. At least we made it up last year, and brought home the crown!

Madison Bumgarner doesn't impress me as a tough guy. He acts like a hard ass, but I don't think he is. He got all up in Puig's shit tonight...after Brandon Belt got between them. I remember he started some shit with Will Myers in San Diego for no reason at all. He's a white Yordano Ventura is all. Fuck MadBum.

He's always done that fake tough guy shit with the Dodgers.

But when it comes time to pitch, help goes out and throws his ass off. He won't complain like kershaw.

He is a great pitcher. I take nothing away from him in that regards. But shit can the antics. If he wants to be a tough guy then he should go do MMA or join the Marine Corps. If he wants to be a baseball pitcher then he should throw the ball without picking fights with people.

i mean his name was on 'the list' in the late 90s... nothing official..

this is how i look at it, look how horrible jeter, a rod, even ichiro can't hit like he used to.. when you age, you simply can't hit like you used to.. except for players like bonds, mcguire, big papi...

Gary Sanchez for Yankess, that guy sure is having an impressive August & September.

Hit a 3 run Homer last night for his 17th in 46 games.

Tonight, he's hit a 3 run Homer and a solo shot. 18 & 19.

Faster than anyone in the modern age of baseball play. He might reach 25 Homer's before the end of play on October 3rd at this rate.

I hope this guy can keep it going!

what's even better is the awesome great new ownership hasn't struck a deal with most of the major cable companies so anyone without time warner hasn't been able to watch the dodgers with a vin scully broadcast at all... any national game has the national broadcasters. any local game that would be shown on mlb is blacked out..

i like how magic and the guys wanna spend money and win, but they've truly fucked over the fans...  and that's bullshit..

Vin has been on the radio in my house since I was born.  My dad would turn off the sound on the TV and listen to the radio.  I always thought it was strange until I got older.

I have to admit that I have been in denial all season regarding his retirement.  With just a few games left, I have to face reality.    I went to my first game when I was 5, so I have spent 45 years with his voice as the background music to summer.

Before every major league baseball game across America, the managers from both teams meet at home plate with all of the umpires to exchange lineup cards and to go over the ground rules for each specific ballpark. When finished, the managers return to their respective dugouts for the National Anthem and play begins.

At Dodger Stadium and only at Dodger Stadium something else happens before the first pitch is thrown, but if you do not know to look for it you will never even notice it.

It is subtle, it is brief and it happens without any hype, hoopla or fanfare.

But if you do know to look for it and you do notice it, it will put a smile on your face every time it happens – and it happens before almost every Dodger home game and has for years. All four umpires will turn and face the Dodger Stadium press box and will either wave or tip their hat to the man who has been so appropriately named ‘The Voice of Baseball’ – Vin Scully.

Thought I would add this.

Today in 1948, Stan Musial gets five hits in a game for the fourth time this season, equaling the major-league record set by Ty Cobb in 1922. His five-for-five day against the Braves at Boston included a homer, a double, and three triples. At the end of his illustrious career, The Man called this his greatest day in baseball

They play Dodgers games as bonus baseball all the time on MLBN. I love hearing Vin call the last 4 or 5 innings of a game. I don't really know what Dodgers baseball is going to be like without him. They are going to have to hunt to find something to replace him. Obviously nothing will be as good, but someone who does their own thing and does it well will be necessary. You can't just have some two dudes doing play by play like so many teams have.

I have a feeling my Braves are going to be competitive next season if a few key moves happen in the off season.

I wish a team with a top ten farm system would hire Dave Stewart as GM so John Copponella can gut that as well.
