[Last Edit: Shackleford_R]
i want a higher magnification thermal and right now the older armasight zeus or prometheus looks good to me, with the 100mm lens and AA battery compatability (all my stuff runs on AAs). i see that the prometheus uses the tau 2 core, not sure what the zeus uses but i assume that's why it costs $3000 more because i see no other difference.
that said, how do these older FLIR cores stack up against modern armacore? what are the "good" cores? is there a resource i can find somewhere that ranks the cores and explains why they are better or worse?
