I took my test load of 147gr ELD-Ms out and tested them in one of my 6.5 Creedmoor rifles.
Very happy with this load, gonna mass produce it for the other 130 bullets I have left then order more bullets and brass.

Trimming LC 5.56 cases on the Frankford.

Pretty mundane.

I decapped and sized around 70 pieces of 7.62x54r brass, using the .308 expander ball. However, when I went to load the 147 grain 308 bullets, they slipped right into the case with no resistance. So I switched to .311 123 grain soft points, and it was a pretty tight fit, but I was able to load them.

Put together 100 .308 with 175gr SMKs and RL15.

This load shot well at 100 yards, hoping it will do well at longer distances when I go to Raton next month.

Just got through swaging the primer pocket crimp of 1000 pieces of Federal 6.8 brass. Glad that step is over with.
Should break down and get a Swage It for my 650. Doing that 1 piece at a time all these years on the Super Swage 600 has been tiresome.

Still trimming the LC 5.56 cases, and bought a brick of CCI SRP and 500 CCI SPP.

Ordered 500 124 .355 projectiles last night and noticed that I needed to prime more 9x19 to get ready for it when that order arrives.

I tried to do reloading stuff today.  Cabela's didn't cooperate.

I had the day off, and we drove up to Buda specifically to roam around Cabela's without the weekend crowds.  No real crowds, but nothing particularly compelling to buy, either.  They had more different powders than I've seen in the past, and more primers, but none that I needed, and I wasn't going to buy something just to buy something.  The drive was nice though.

All I got done today was setting up to finish up my old container of Unique with some of my old .358 148 grain wadcutters, and lining up stuff for my .40 S&W test loads once I get the .38s out of the way.  I did start researching coated bullets for .38 Special, but I can only find a couple wadcutters, so that didn't go very far.  At least not yet.

Turned the necks on a few hundred 22 TCM converts while watching Dragon ball Z... My hand hurts from holding the drill.

Feels good to actually do some reloading related stuff though.

Bought a FART as the next step toward getting a .30-40 Krag set up going.

Used said FART to clean up 100 Krag cartridges as well as several hundred .38, one more thing to obsess over

Primed 300 9x19 cases. I've done so much 9x19 loading and have more projectiles coming that I am starting to get low with 9x19. Contemplating buying some once fired or trying to trade here in the EE with some of my excess .45 ACP R-P cases as a quick replenishment solution.

And still trimming LC brass. Much fun

Will work up some test loads tomorrow so I can load a few thousand rounds.

I reloaded 40 rounds of 30-06 on my turret press.  It was enjoyable but it reminded me how important it is to have a Dillon progressive.

I just wish the Dillon priming function was as smooth and silky as my Sinclair priming tool.

Finally after a few months I had some time to work in the workshop. I have unloaded some brass the last few months but yesterday I finally worked toward reloading.

I sorted three .50cal ammo cans full of my brass and range pickups.

Today I will start tumbling.

I loaded 55 rounds of .38 Special 148 grain wadcutter in the CBC brass I'd separated out because I worried that it was going to give me problems.  It was not a problem.  I'll elaborate in my thread on the CBC brass.

What was a problem was readjusting my powder through expander setting.  In emptying and cleaning the measure after my last loading run, I messed up the adjustment.  Loading lead bullets without adequate case mouth expansion causes shiny lead bits to wind up all over the place...  But only for the first case, since I figured out what was happening pretty quickly.

Now I just need the weather to cooperate, so I can get to the range.  Heat advisories and black flag conditions kind of demotivate me from hanging out in the sun.

Mounted up my second Inline QC base and my LE-Wilson/Sinclair trimmer to a plate.

Loaded 240 rds of 147 gr. HPCB X-Treme bullets over 3.5 gr. Titegroup with a S&B primer with the SDB. Really starting to drool over a 1050 no matter how much I love the little Dillon.

Now I can do prep and still leave my 550 set up. I pretty much only body size on the T-7 these days but it was a pain to switch everything around when I needed it.

Have been casting .45 projectiles to keep my 1911 fed over the summer.

The RCBS 185gr SWC on the left, and the Saeco #130 200gr SWC on the right.  The Saeco bullet does particularly well in my 1911.

I am a newbie powder coater.  This was my 3rd batch ever and first batch doing .45 .  Just a bare bones setup, doing shake and bake then into the toaster oven.

Just some samples.  Hope to try them next weekend.

Shot through a nice amount of 7.62 yesterday, deprimed 150 this morning and have them wet tumbling as I write.

If it doesn't hit the 106-110* mark as forecast today I might even be able to start resizing these later this afternoon. If it does get that hot it'll be too warm in the garage to work, I'll wait until the sun goes down.

I saw some unicorns out in the wild during my lunch break while visiting an LGS.

FGMM SRP's that were specifically for the AR15. Picked up 1,400 of them. A brick to stash and 400 to do load development with when I get to making match ammunition.

The other unicorn was FGMM LRP's, and I picked up the last brick, so I am happy with just a thousand for right now.

I cleaned up my press after loading a bunch of .38 Special with old, waxy wadcutter bullets.  Then I cleaned the dies... WOW.  I got half a crayon out of the seating die, and more out of the crimping die (I used the seater from my old (1979-vintage) dies, and the sizer and crimper from my new (carbide) dies).  Yuck!  I have got to get coated bullets for my next run!

After the sun went down I was able to anneal about 1/3 of the 7.62 brass, but it was still pretty toasty in the garage. Hoping I'll be able to anneal some more this morning before the heat comes up, if I can't get to it this morning I'll have to do another batch after sundown. Definitely no fun working with a heat source when it is so toasty out.

finished reloading 5k 9mm fmj.  switched the Hornady LnL to 45acp and fixing to do 500.  Than I'll swap the LnL to 40 s&w and load up 500 rounds for plinking.  this should hold me over a few weeks of shooting while I process and load up some 223 and 308 loads for 200yrds.

And I just saw some blem bullets on midway.  pocketbook gonna take another hit I guess.

Emptied 200 9mm cases at the range and brought home 300+ pieces of brass.  I'm very happy with my go-to 9 load, 124 grain Eggleston Munitions bullet over 3.6 grains of Titegroup.  It's a little snappy in my G43, but drops brass right at my feet in the G19 or G34.

Processed 200x 308 cases the last few days. That takes care of all the unprocessed 308 brass I have (small lot).

Setting my sights on tooling up for 223 reloading now.

Got all of the 7.62 resized on Wednesday, doing half in the morning and the second half well after the sun went down.  Yesterday I did the same half/half routine and got all of the 7.62 trimmed.

Everything is running in dry walnut to clean off lube right now.  Temps seem to be dropping and if it isn't a 100+ day today I'll start priming.

The wife took the kids for the afternoon so it was relatively productive:

Procured a pound of H4895, 1k Fed 210 LRP, and 100 180gr BTSP to round out components for starting .30-40 Krag work ups.

Started getting the tool head on the 550 ready for Krag ops, not ready to change out the shell plate just yet.

Sorted about 1k .38 by head stamp for a session next week.

Put ~250 .38 in the FART.

Bought some cheap wall-mount storage from Harbor Freight, mounted it, and started organizing the burgeoning mess on my bench.

Mounted the RCBS manual trimmer to a 2x6 and bought C-clamps to keep it still while trimming brass.

Did a lot of loading for 308 today. Loaded 300 rounds of 178gr ELD-X and some M80A1 and some AP rounds. I also worked some more on some .223 brass for some future loads and tumbled and dried a bunch of 308 and 6.5 Grendel cases.

Don't know what part of the comifornia you are in, but it was a blistering 78 degrees yesterday down here in the southern most bits when I did my brass test yesterday.

Todays plan is to do case capacity water test, resize and process the brass, then maybe load them up.

Might get some 22 tcm loaded up too. Been shooting that one a lot lately.
