I am thinking of buying one seen a few reviews seem real good

I decided that I don’t care for drop holster with a leg strap. I went back to a high ride UBL and no strap, and I’m happy with it. Stays put just fine. Clears my Slickster carrier just fine.

Pretty unimpressed with Blue Force Gear. I ordered the chlk belt, 2 m4 pouches, and a double pistol pouch on the 21st.
I decided to cancel the chlk belt. They handled it promptly. They asked for feedback on why I cancelled. I explained to them that I didn’t need the handles and needed the extra molle slots. They processed my refund just fine, but I haven’t been able to view my order status and the only option I had on their website was to reorder everything. No status or ability to view the order. I emailed them on Monday asking about not being able to view my order or see the status. When I placed the order, all of the pouches were in stock. I asked them if there was any reason why the order hadn’t shipped. Nobody ever responded to me. ETA: At this point, I’ve got a blue alpha gear molle belt on order. I’ve got a Safariland 6395RDS-2832, and a True North Concepts MHA. |

It sucks you had a bad experience. I'm happy with the gear I have from them and will probably purchase more, but it will most likely be from a vendor. What mag pouches are you going with? BFG or Esstac? I'm very happy with my Blue Alpha belt. I wear the inner belt all the time and really like it. It's a solid EDC belt, and the velcro makes it easy to adjust to exactly the right size depending on what holster is IWB. |

It's a solid EDC belt, and the velcro makes it easy to adjust to exactly the right size depending on what holster is IWB. Quick update, I heard back from BFG today. I told them that if they weren’t going to communicate with me or allow me to see my order status, that I’d just prefer to cancel the order. This was yesterday. I got a shipping notification for the pistol pouches this morning. By the time I got home from seeing customers this afternoon, they had responded and said they were having staffing issues and were behind on emails and orders. They gave me an update on when I could expect the m4 pouches (right before Christmas). I won’t have my belt for at least another week and I understand the staffing challenges. I work for a distributor and we’re dealing with the same stuff. So we kissed and made up and I’m going to wait for the bfg pouches. I still need medical and then I’ll have the basics in place. I had been doing some run and gun pistol training as well as rifle training, but had to take a break to deal with some physical challenges I was having. I’m excited to get my belt done so I can truly pressure test my skills and gear all together. ETA: I used the bfg 30% off deal and went with a double pistol magazine belt pouch and I also bought a couple of their m4 belt pouches. I don’t have a chest rig or plate carrier. |

I’m still trying to figure out medical. I would like to have a pouch that’s small and light and that I can attach a tq to. There’s so many options out there. I’m also wanting to be able to get the medical supplies that go in the pouch from the same vendor. I’m a bit overwhelmed by it all, but I’m learning.
Thoughts? ETA: Also, I see lots of pics of belt layouts, but not a lot of people actually wearing them. I’m getting ready to start assembling my belt and, without having to go back and scroll through page after page (which I’ll get around to), I’m wanting to see where folks are positioning their holsters and magazine pouches. Do you want the holster to drop directly down in line with your femur? It looks like folks prefer the pistol pouches at around 10 o’clock, with a rifle pouch at 9. Does that sound right? Again, this is my first piece of gear and first belt, so I appreciate y’all’s help with all of my noob questions. |

Again, this is my first piece of gear and first belt, so I appreciate y’all’s help with all of my noob questions. View Quote Why does the TQ need to attach directly to the IFAK? I don't know many pouches that do that explicitly. TQ should just ideally be available with either hand. Everyone's body is different as to where mag pages are placed precisely. In fact, my mags might move an inch or so based on how my body is that day. When I don a belt I line my holster up pointed down my thigh. Then I wrap the belt around over the inner belt with everything ending up where it ends up. Depending on bloating, weight loss/gain, pump, which pants I'm wearing, etc... I may need to make minor adjustments to the belt length. This way the holster is always in the same place. I index my pistol mags so that my hands always falls in generally the same place whether I have 2 or 3 mags (depending on belt) anf makes looking for one of the reloads as seemless as any other. My rifle mag falls at about 9, with the pistol mags right in front at 10/1030.they can be wherever you can get to them the fastest and most consistently. The only thing to be aware of is that nothing else you may be wearing (PC, chest rig, etc...) isn't blocking the mags. Honestly, you're not going to get it "right" the first time. If you're not familiar with this gear you'll need to adjust it as you gain experience. |

Several ways to mount it depending on preference. I believe they sell it with medical supplies too if you don’t want to build your own. The empty pouch comes with an aLOKSAK so it’s easy to make what you want in it fit in it. From what I’ve seen in this thread most mount their holster around 3:00 and mags between 8:00-10:00, myself included. |
