Nice rig but looks super nose heavy. You ever consider swapping the RIS for an NSR or KMR? I guess MLOK is the new black these days but I have KMR alphas and see no reason to switch.

It's no too bad with the surefire can, I've been running a saker 762 so the shorter slightly less weight is nice. When I first got my stamp back for the lower I went with a bcm bfh 11.5 upper with the kmr. Didn't care for the issues I had with the keymod coming loose or tightening and it pulling thru the holes ruining the rail. Bcm told me to kick rocks so I sold it for a loss, never again. I do have my eye on a geissle mlok for another build.

Ended up adding the Bootleg carrier (w/DD bolt assembly), holosun red dot w/ 65 MOA circle and 2 MOA dot, geissele super charging handle and 1/3 cowitness mount, SDC trigger and a light.  But in my (kind of ridiculous) effort to avoid tacticooling/railing my rifle I got the goofy light mount that attaches to the front sight post lol.  Oh and the sling is just a basic boring 2 pointer that came with a 6940 I bought years ago.

@geoint This rifle is awesome! In my opinion you just need to have the M4 buttstock replaced with one of the CAR buttstocks (CAR buttstock) and a thin set of mid-length handguards (Skinny  mid-length handguard )

Sorry for not responding when you first asked this.  I was torn between several different charging handles but eventually opted for the Geissele because it has the raised lip at the back.  And it was "on sale" at Primary Arms.   Still expensive like a MFer lol

Never considered skinny middy handguards.  I have some skinny carbine handguards, Ill see how I like them compared to my standard (fat) PSA midlength that came with the upper.

And thanks for hte CAR stock link.  I've always loved that look but never known what it was called!

And totally off topic but M4ger has the coolest builds Ive ever seen.  Wish my safe had just 1/10th the awesomeness that his must have.

now that photobucket is gone idk how to upload pics directly but heres my Evo.

Havent shot it yet and ill be honest im terrified about a possible baffle strike cuz the threading on the Evo isn't as long as it was on my wolf glock barrel.  My can doesn't wiggle but it doesn't take much force to start unscrewing it either.  Im def gonna wear gloves when I take her out for her maiden voyage and keep tightening it down every 3-4 shots just to be safe.

When I saw that rifle on the right I immediately said to myself 'We got a Blackhawk down, we got a Blackhawk down."

Got my barrel back from Brimstone - I had them cut it long enough so that it would fit a Hunter X-22 stock without having to cut into it (as with a SB-X barrel):

Got the Triad Tactical stock pack and Armageddon Gear mirage cover in.  I love this rifle.

Remington AAC-SD (well, what's left of it)
Bell & Carlson M40 stock (huge improvement over the factory Hogue)
Timney 510 trigger
Thunderbeast CB brake
Harris bipod
Larue 20MOA rail
SWFA 10x42 SS scope (left over from another project)
Seekins rings
Thunderbeast CB9 can
Armageddon Gear mirage cover
Triad Tactical stock pack

I'm still waffling on getting different bottom metal.  Looking at the Wyatt dbm.

Dig it.

Thinking about getting a R700 AAC-SD as a base rifle for a fun project. Actually, maybe one in .223 so I can use my AEM5 with it.

Thanks guys!  Do it.  I know the Tikka is a better value but I really like this setup.  I'm also really surprised how much fun I have shooting the bolt guns.  The accuracy of this rifle so far even with just PRVI 150 grain SP's really makes me smile.  I've had several three shot cloverleafs while I was zeroing it.  I'm going to take it out tomorrow with some 175gr PRVI match rounds and see what she'll do.

Pic thread...

Mine started as an AAC-SD. I almost had the barrel profiled for my 12th model but decided the Surefire was a better fit for my needs. One of my favorite rifles.

Finally got my Savage MKII FV-SR put together. Really excited to try it out!

Burris AR Optics 1-4x (I couldn't resist the Labor Day deal from Brownells for $100 shipped)
Vortex Optics Tactical 30mm Low Rings
SilencerCo Sparrow
SilencerCo 1/2-28 - 1/2-28 Thread Adapter (threads on the barrel were ~.200 too long, and would have cut into the o-ring)
CVLife Bi-Pod (Harris clone)
Razor Rest cheek piece (from grabamag on eBay)
