That's where you should have stopped on the optic. Haha j/k, I imagine the weight wasn't worth the 4x capacities?

Yeah, the MRO definitely has a periscope looking profile, however I don't think it looks too goofy on a low mount.  The low mount works on the SCAR but might be an issue with an ATPIAL.

Cheers

I'd like to snag a Gen III Elcan Spectre DR at some point but would probably run it on a 14.5" SR-15.

Cheers

Waiting on the Arisaka MLOK offset Scout mount and she's done. AAC Mini4 will reside on it full time.

I like the look of it on the low mount and you're right it works with the raised rail of the Scar but it'll most definitely be an issue if you run a Peq on the top rail.

I have a hard time distinguishing the 3rd gen from the previous gens. I'd definitely consider a 1-4x on the Mod 1 Carbine, its heavy but it'd look the tits.

The Gen I and II Spectres are "boxy" like mine while the Gen III, which is current production, was slimmed down a bit, however it has distinct bulges on the sides to accomadate the internal adjustment.  I procured mine new as a MEUSOC overrun and I got a great deal on it but sold it to fund other things.  You know how it goes.

Cheers

Glad so see a good side profile of this rail extension with the 16" barrel. I was up between doing a setup like this, or going with the KDG rail.

It's actually 14.1in with the pinned SilencerCo Trifecta break that Jarrod did for me about a year ago. I currently have a form 1 pending and it will go to 13in and get a rugged suppressors flash hider for my my Razor that is pending. Jarrod definitely does great work though. By switching over to his rails I shaved a few oz off of the rifle and the profile of the rifle feels better in my hand. It doesn't help that the Burris 1-8 weighs in at 24oz without a mount. I would recommend Jarrod to anyone.

Really easy until you hit the lower rail removal. Almost stripped it completely since I didn't heat up enough to remove the thread locker on the first try, but besides that not bad at all.

I recently installed a PWS SRX on my 13" CQC barrel, which requires removal of the bottom rail. Since I don't have a heat gun, I just wrapped my barrel assembly in aluminum foil (maybe not necessary) and put it in a 250-degree oven for about 15 minutes. I was able to remove the bottom screws using just a screwdriver with Torx bit.

Yea I know FN says to use a heat gun but all long as the thread locker is gone it's all good, but that seemed like the only hard part. The rest was pretty easy.

I just installed an MREX a couple of days ago. I used a soldering iron on the barrel screw for 5 minutes which loosened the thread locker with no issues. The only thing that did cause a bit of consternation was aligning the bracket in which the 14 mm screws screw into. The bracket would move around every time I installed the barrel assembly into the receiver. Finally got it adjusted and set in place to complete the install.

Once you've initially removed the bolts for the first time, it becomes a lot easier to remove them in the future. I have used a heat gun for the removal of mine on all of the Scars I have owned. They are pretty cheap at Harbor Freight, less than $20 if I recall correctly. If you don't have a heat gun you can raid your woman's drawers in the bathroom and use her hair dryer on the HI setting as well. Take your time and use firm, consistent pressure when breaking the screws free so that you don't strip the heads or slip off and scratch the receiver.

Haha exactly, however, the KDG rail looks great as well with the CQ 13" setup.

I've seen the PMM extension on you 16 CQ 10" and it's defintely the way to go on that setup.

Is there a reason you run the QD infront instead of another BFG loop?  I'm guessing to get out of the system if you need to?

I've always struggled with how I would like my SCAR sling/setup and always checking to see how others have theirs setup.

Just put a Stark/PMM BRU Grip on my 16S. Not the best looking but for large hands they feel great.

Have a KDG Umrex rail and their stock on the way.

Correct assumption on the forward QD; easier to get out of the sling and also good for storing the weapon.
