I'm at 72 days since check was cashed on the purchase of my first silencer. picked up one of the Gemtech Trek deals for $295. I've avoided doing the math until now, but now that I know I have a feeling it's all I'll think about...

check was cashed 2/24/15. Completed the paperwork at my FFL like a week or a week and a half prior. I've called the ATF twice and been told that its still processing.
Kinda wondering if the customer service folks have the ability to move me to the back of the line for bothering them. I will be calling them tomorrow. I have completed my SBR Form 1 for my work gun and all I'm waiting on now is the suppressor and to qualify with it in order to carry it.... Basically my work is just a lousy excuse to justify jumping through all the hoops to get a SBR'ed - Suppressed carbine. Haven't had my AR out of the car in months... |

So I called the NFA branch today to check on the status of 2 suppressor transfers. They advised that they were approved 5/24/15. However, I still haven't seen a stamp or heard anything from silencer shop. Is this normal? Or is it time for concern?

Some take as long as 30-40 days after approval. A week or so is normal though.

It is my understanding that Silencer Shop does not get any notification of approval , that should go to whoever they transferred it to . |

4 weeks and 2 days still waiting for form 3 transfer (first suppressor) to my local dealer - frustrating wait .....
|
|
|
It seems like they've slowed down quite a bit. I had a Feb 11th approved a month ago and it seems like my March 5th is still going to take a few weeks.

I got to fondle my 3 suppressors yesterday. I went over to pick up my Blue Label Glock 43 and inquiried about my cans. I knew my Osprey 9 and Warlock were there, just wasn't sure if the Octane 9 HD made it through Form 3 land yet. It did as well. Osprey and Warlock were submitted for Form 4's on 4/7 and the Octane on 5/26. I had never been able to hold any before and was pleasantly surprised at how small the Osprey was and the Warlock.... wow that thing is tiny. Love it.
I have a Gen4 19 all set up for hosting duties, my CZ Scorpion will be ready at some point as an SBR host, my .300 Blackout is still stalled due to my mistakes on the Form 1 (twice), the Ruger PacLite is ready, Ruger SR22 is ready (although some new sights would be nice) and my S&W AR 15-22 is ready. I'm thinking a Gen4 17 would be nice as well too. |

Well you guys just shattered all hope that maybe they just don't update the ATF approval log very often and that JUST MAYBE I would get an email from SilencerShop saying my cans came in even tho the ATF system still shows them pending....
*long sighhhhhhh |

I have to wonder if a lot of their people are taking vacations. I haven't seen near the progress in the past month as the past 6 months.
My Sparrow would have been approved on May 19th(if there hadn't been an issue) and there was only a 3 week difference in submissions between it and my Tirant. There is now a 5 week gap in-between the Sparrow and my Tirant and I'm not very optimistic. |
