Called today 6-7-17 to check on mine as seeing mid July 2016 approvals. Woman I spoke to said based on my pending date I have "several more weeks before approval due to the high volume". So looking like mid to end of July before I may see the stamp. Thought this may give others an idea of where they are at based on pending dates. Silencer Shops last minute flood of applications have really jammed up the process.

I was part of that Silencershop 7/7 submission batch that went pending on 7/21, as well. Mine was purchased 6/3, I'm pretty bummed it took them over a month to submit after purchase.

As of my call to the ATF yesterday it's still pending. I wonder what the +/- days is on that 7/7 batch.

Well unfortunately it's insane. I had a 7/15 from that day that got approved in may. Weird story about this whole thing, my friend ordered his Obsidian a week prior to mine. Both from silencer shop, both on trusts. They both got mailed the same time. Mine, which was purchased way later, got a pending date of 7/21. His was 7/22. He still isn't approved. And I have my can. So there's no rhyme or reason to the madness.

She also said either there were 300,000 last July in the system or they got hit up with 300, 000 last year before the rule change (41F). She said in about 2 months they should be down to 4-6 months for approval.

I can see once all the pre 41f's are done the approvals jumping in a big hurry. I know I have a check cashed date of October 24th, and I kinda have a feeling it will be early September, or so.

My local dealer went out of business, and from what I can figure, they requested a refund for my stamp, just before they went under, and the process started over. I bought an in stock can in March of 2016 and still don't have it. My second pending date is 7/22. Take this with a grain of salt, as I don't fully understand the process, and I have more than one variation of the story, depending on who I asked. I hope yours go better and my situation isn't the norm.

I'll say! I bought my first cans last June, they went pending middle of July... Two months later my wife got pregnant with our first kid... He was born two weeks ago.

My wife grew another human being faster than the ATF could approve a simple form.

Despite the lack of love from the ATF, my first father's day was awesome
