I do have a few different belts I can attach this stuff to but the basic idea is that I can add or remove any of it pretty much when I want or need to without having to remove the belt. like adding a rifle mag to my ccw carry if I need to . Go to one of the belt mounted pouches first & refill that from the hippie. Fill the hippie from the chest rig. |

The outer material is tightly woven which resists abrasion and has a DWR that sheds rain and snow. Got this as a Christmas gift. Another alternative is using the current issue British Combat Smock and wear it over existing layers including your Gore-Tex/rain resistant shell. 
Or purchase a British Combat Smock with an MVP/gore-tex liner. |
