I do have a few different belts I can attach this stuff to but the basic idea is that I can
add or remove any of it pretty much when I want or need to without having to remove the belt.
like adding a rifle mag to my ccw carry if I need to .
Go to one of the belt mounted pouches first & refill that from the hippie.
Fill the hippie from the chest rig.

I sold my AF after trying the new Lux liner and worm dial from Ops-Core. I don't think I'd buy another AF unless they had a better padding and harness system or made it lighter.

It's taken me almost two years to get my kit to where I want it, and I still have a lot more $ to spend before it's finished. Added to that is the fact that I'll be paying the sandbox a visit soon, so I probably won't be done until late next year. Go slow, get good stuff and set it up like how you want it to look in the end.

You mean carry chem lights? I personally carried 2 sets that were tied together with a strip of VS-17 panel in middle (IR on one side green on other) in a shoulder pocket. Then carried a green, red, and IR tucked into molle on my vest and if I knew we were doing night stuff I'd add more.

Cool kids use V-lites. Come on man, chem lights are so early-OEF When I've used them in the past, they would just be woven throught the molle on whatever I was wearing.

Well if you're asking in a clever way why I would need to carry chem-lights like a too-cool-for-school SOF hitter, I'll just go ahead and clear the air: I don't need to. The most likely scenario I could find myself needing to use chem-lights would be for a night shoot (no NV or therm), or for hiking/camping. I like having essentials in an easy-to-reach place rather than having to dig in the dark for them. Of course they would not be my only source of light.

Looks awesome, but holy crap that price tag.

Used it in light snow and rain so far and it performed very well. The outer material is tightly woven which resists abrasion and has a DWR that sheds rain and snow. Got this as a Christmas gift.

Another alternative is using the current issue British Combat Smock and wear it over existing layers including your Gore-Tex/rain resistant shell.

Or purchase a British Combat Smock with an MVP/gore-tex liner.

This bag with this mag pouch attached into the MOLLE.  Used it as a bailout bag that I thankfully have never had to use. Can hold 2 field stripped MREs, 2 bottles of water, a small bottle of CLP, and 6 mags or 4 mags with an radio.

Can't get much cheaper than free. Besides, para-cord guts fray with use and provide no stability. The mono works perfectly.
