It came with the carbine. I remember seeing them for sale online at a place a few years ago but can't recall the name, and I think
they were out of stock for a long time.

You might want to rotate the scope clockwise 90 degrees.  You have the windage know on top and the elevation know on the left side.  The elevation knob goes on top and the windage knob goes on the right.

How is that rail working out for you. I just put on on mine put I haven't attached my aimpoint to it yet. I had one on the old cluster rail but that would holder zero at least on the rear part of the rail.

I picked up my first M1A yesterday and gave her a bath last night.  I let her sit for a day so the Slip 2000 could cure.  I wiped her down tonight and she is ready for the range.  500 rounds of 7.62 and some 10-round mags are coming from NatchezSS tomorrow.  I can't wait.

Is that the original stock on there as it came from Springfield? It looks rather.....odd ....with the grip angled  / oversized like that.

It is a Super Match.  I bought it used from an estate.  MSRP is $3,600.00.  The going internet price is around $3,000 +/-.  I got it for $2,100.00.    By the look of the mag, glide plate, and bolt face, the old man had at most put about 100 rounds through it.  The SN and paperwork indicate a 2010 manufacture date.

Here is a link to the SA product page.  Same stock.

My emasculated one from across the pond.

Fulton Armory "Peerless" model but with no gas system ().  Straight-pull bolt action to conform to UK firearms laws.

Usual Harris bipod and Leupold 4.5-14 x 40 scope for when I want to be  boreingly accurate; NM rear sights and Target globe foresight for normal target shooting.

I really need to stop messing around about it and just get an M1A...

From the top:

SA M1 rack grade from CMP. 5 digit serial number. Need to find someone to trade an early SA milled FCG for the IHC one that's in there.. And need to buy lockbar sights... And countless other parts..  All that could be an expensive project...

Inland 8-44 M1 Carbine. Just bought it off ARFCOM for $500.. Barrel seems original to the receiver

SA GI 1911 .45

And lastly, a built-by-me Browning 1919A4 (semi of course). Current configuration is in 8mm Mauser, but can be converted to 308 and 30-06.

I need better picture taking skills...
