This bit was with a bunch of SG43 parts but I'm unsure what it is or even if it is a gun part,  sure looks like one with the hard chromed areas,  no threads in the hole though...thanks!

Looks like a front trunnion and bayonet mount almost. I can't place it either - but now I'm curious.

I looked through a SG43 kit myself to see if it's there and I just didn't recognize it. No dice.
