Thanks. I knocked out 100 rounds and I decided to seal the work surface so off came the press. While I was at Home Depot I also picked up some peg board and LED lighting kits.

New place so work in progress, went from a 150sf room to 900sf or so.

I built it all, stole a few ideas from this thread like the upper shelving setup with the legs, I was going to do just shelving but liked the look of the legs and extra support.  And nothing is where it should be atm, and lots more to do with the rest of the room.

Lol, the bench right now is a bit "Spartan" I agree. Add ons will come with time. The room I am using used to be a kitchen, lots of drawers and cupboards for storage, countertop for brass prep, and gun cleaning and a spot for my Wicked Edge sharpener. Not the most fancy, but it's mine!

Updates to my reloading bench. I believe it is finally done (or at least I come up with another idea for it)

How it currently sits with the press lighting and overhead workspace lighting.

I made a universal mounting point so I could swap the vise and Lee Turret press or leave the work surface bare.

Stall mats here. They carry them at any farm supply store and run around $30 each and are 4' x 6'.

That's my suggestion too.  I have hardwood flooring in my loading room, and the cushioned mats help with a lot of things.  I am using the interlocking floor mats from Harbor Freight.

I had my garage floor (reloading room) done in a rustoleum textured product about 8 or 9 years ago.  Great floor, chemical resistant and easy to keep clean.  I have not had any problems with peeling or wear.  It doesn't chip when tools are dropped.  I use thin rubber mats in front of the bench just for padding..  Here is a picture of the floor (disregard the objects - they are for another thread)

Major changes coming.  New press, a track system, and shelving off the bench to get all the shit out of the way.

We moved a little over a year ago.  The new house has a "workshop" room that I comandeered for my loading room.  It's small enough that it's hard to get back far enough for decent pics, but it's perfect for a loading room.

I have been building benches and shelving, along with some metal shelving I already had, and a SAM's club workbench.

Thanks! Yes I built it myself. The legs are 4x4s I rabbeted out for the 2x4s to fit flush on the legs. Here's where I got the ideas from, just modified to fit my space.

Could you, or someone, give some details on those shelves? The red and blue tubs I mean. They look like something from a hardware store to hold small nuts and bolts. I could use a few of those in my reloading room.

ETA: Are they these type of bins? Bins at Midway.

Have used the red and blue bins for years many sizes, got some at Northern Tool. They also have a mounting bracket for hanging them on a wall, very handy.

Mizzarley,  the bins commercial name is "Akro Bins".  If you do a search for them, you can find good deals on them.  Every now and then I'll pick some up from Dillon.

My father-in-law and I decided that it was time to reload...

He asked for reloading table ideas...so I sketched this out based on a few loading tables that I have seen here on ARFCOM

He said...OK

And went to work. He was given a pile of old cypress that looked like nothing more than camp fire material to me...he stripped it all down, and it came out beautiful! And solid as hell...

For the surface, we wanted something that we could reload ammo, clean & work on rifles. He had an idea of 1/2" rubber...works perfect! Its sturdy enough to balance anything level with the perfect amount of give to not ding the rifles or vice versa...he then trimmed the rubber insert with a flush boarder. So the rubber mat can be removed and hosed down if needed.

I was in charge of lighting & accessory detail...and reloading data

He also built an accent piece for the reloading room...this man is talented!

This is a NICE setup.  While not huge, it looks clean and doesnt stick out inside the house.  I like it.  Are those stick on push-type lights or are they hardwired?  If hardwired, link please?

Thanks…

The puck lights are somewhat hardwired...the set comes with a dimmer, nice little circular brackets for mounting and the pucks, themselves, are composed of metal. The dimmer plugs into a standard wall socket. We have it plugged into a surge protector/power strip mounted behind the forward leg nearest the safe. We had to mount the dimmer on the backside of the table to give us enough slack to be able to mount the pucks where we wanted them. The splitter is actually behind the peg wall…so we have puck lights plugged into the splitter, splitter to the dimmer, and dimmer to the power strip. So the dimmer is worthless, as we use the power strip for power on/off.

The lights are LED, pretty bright and serve the purpose…but if I had to do it again, I would shop around a little longer. But for the money, they are good. FYI…do not splice the wire between the puck and the splitter as the lights will not work. I tried this first, in order to lengthen our mounting options, to no avail.

Here is the link you seek: CE LED Light Set

But isn't placing the press mount all the way to the left against the wall sort of crowding you?

Thank you…

It's really not too bad. We typically do everything in stages…so we won't have everything out at one given time. We'll de-prime & resize whatever brass we are looking to load. That brass may sit a few days before prepping it for loads. At the moment, our prepping is done in the shop while we put together a brass prep station…which will be on the wall across from the bench. It's a full wall with nothing but another safe, so no telling what my father-in-law with come up with. He still has some of this cypress left, so we may end up with a dual reloading station and work it as an assembly line. He won't load without me, so its always both of us in there.

We're still working out the bugs…so any suggestions would be appreciated.

After looking at the photo again I see that a reloading block will fit just to the left of the press mount (I'm assuming one is right-handed).

The only thing about mounting the press that low compared to the rest of the bench would be the possibility of arm strain/fatigue from having the reloading block above the level of the shell holder when it's in the down position. Most single stage reloaders find it desirable to place the reloading block(s) as close to and on the same level as the shell holder.

But damn, that's some beautiful bench. Someone's got some mad carpentry skills and cypress will last FOREVER.
