I have an M25 LRB Arms scout/tanker rifle and need a scope. I would consider this a very good battle rifle. However, I would like to mount a scope that works out to distance if necessary. I prefer FFP. Any scope recommendations?

Funny,I had a scope sitting on the shelf in my safe that I decided to replace the old 1” 90’s vintage Leopold Police 3-9x40 mildot on my M1a.

U.S Optics 3.5-17x50 with 30mm tube.  It’s bigger but I do like it.   I recently dragged the M1a in the McMillan M3a stock out of the back of the safe.  168s over 40.5 grain IMR 4895 in a LC case.  I am digging it.  My groups were a bit large but it was 30 mph winds.  Not ideal but it adds to ones experience and knowledge.

For a scout rifle....I think I would trend lighter and more compact.   A 30mm tubed 1.5- 8x ish power with a lit reticle you like.  For less money there are some Primary Arms options.  I suggest getting at least their mid priced versions as the glass is better than their all China made basic.

Or buy a nice Leupold.

What is "distance"? How good are your eyes?

I have a Vortex 2-10x Viper on my .308 AR. Easy to use close-up, and gets me well over a thousand. I also have 20/15 vision.

A 1-6x LPVO would suit most folks just fine.

I have 20/20 vision looking at 800 meters max, I will be shooting 175 grain fed gold medal. I prefer FFP and mrad.

If you want a LPVO Mark 6

If you want something more it depends how high of power you want.
