OpsCore did not anticipate the demand for these helmets. We are sold out of the few we got in from our original order. The rest of the order is back-ordered with them for 4-6 weeks. We ordered a ton of helmets from them and will do our best to keep them in stock, but were told lead times will be similar to the other helmets...

It came with the Wilcox G25 mount I was given. I'm not sure if they are included in the mount kits they sell because Wilcox gave me this one. Maybe they sell them ala cart as I don;t believe the lanyard I have was designed to be used with the VAS mount. It was easy to make it work with the addition of a longer screw. Maybe Chip or Vic @ TNVC can get you one. It works great and actually saved my 14s from hitting the deck the other night. |

I was training and went to flip it up and accidentally pushed the release. I wish the release was on the opposite side of the pivot button. I guess that's why we train.

www.supplycaptain.com has them (or had) and they only sell IR stuff to mil/LE. They only have Texas, why would you want any other state

I have a couple Ops-Core Bump helmets - which fit great - but when I recently bought one of their Balistic models I found it was tighter fitting (even being the same size) and the adjustment dial bit into the back of my neck when I looked up or went prone, even after adjusting the suspension per directions. I sold it and bought the Air Frame, and now prefer the H-Nape / pad set-up. I'll know more as time passes and I get some range / training time with it. I need to get some velcro on it for IFF squares, strobe, etc. Hope this helps, Clint |

I've been eyeing the AirFrame and the Ops-Core too, and I am right on the edge of the L/XL Ops-Core and I'm concerned it would be a little tight. |

In all honesty your best bet is to find a dealer or individual who has one and see if you can try one on; second would be to call Crye and inquire when they will have the XL shell available. I originally ordered a Medium after my research and Crye themselves said I would fit a medium - but it was nowhere close so I exchanged it for a Large. Another option - and this is what a buddy of mine (who wears an L/XL Ops-Core) is doing, is geting the Large and using thinner 1/2" pads instead of the standard 3/4". Hope this helps, let me know if I misunderstood your question. Clint |

Where you get that "dummy" Nice kit btw! The dummies belong to the PD. Can't remember where we got them now, I'll try to find them. We have three of them that we use as non-hostiles for shooting on the move drills. The BNVDs are a great piece of kit. They are the older model and I got them a great price. No, they are not stolen. The previous owner had them at NV Depot when I bought them for cleaning and NV Depot shipped them directly to me. Lynn |

Titleist1, I was of the understanding that the OC ARC didn't fit 2001 cut helmets? So, I just ordered the MSA ones for mine. What "doesn't fit" about them?

Maybe I'll try both and see which fit better. |

I'm working on getting a special helmet cover made up, so it really would depend on which has the better coverage. Thanks for the help.
ETA: Screw it, called Grey Group and had them switch my order. |

Technically, the rails will drop-in just as they would with the 2000 and 2002. This is because the four bolt holes for the chin strap are located in the same exact spot for all three models and the ARC attaches via the bolt holes. The reason we state on our site that it doesn't fit is because Ops Core makes their deaers put this info on their sites. The reason Ops Core says it doesn't fit on their site is because the high side cuts of the TC2001 do not leave enough material underneath where the rail sits to completely back it up. So, there are some places where the rail overhangs the helmet. So yes, the ARC will attach, but the overhang leaves it vulnerable to damage from being pried off or cracked from impact. The ARC is an injection-molded polymer part that is hollow on the back save for some ribs and bosses. Without a solid helmet edge to absorb impact first, it is very likely that it will crack if hit. But, Titleist's helmet looks badass. Now you just need to use it and chip away some of that purdy camo. |

Looking at the MSA rails on Josh's (Grey Group) 2001 in this pic they overhang as well. http://i846.photobucket.com/albums/ab25/greygroupcommunity/Ops-Core%20X%20Nape%20with%20Supreme%20Pro/DSC_0012.jpg |

I'll risk breaking the rails, generally besides my MPLS and the new ContourHD Plus (sorry I couldn't take photos of the right side of the helmet till the camera was actually shipping) we designed, I consider most of that stuff sacrificial.
