Attach you bungies to you ANVIS via lil zip ties and notice a world of difference. You'll thank me later.

Looks like a nice rig tho. I love all the helmets TW has to offer.

Stop at a fishing store and pick up little metal rings, way better than zips.

I was planning to, right now they are all that's holding them on, I'm waiting for a plate to show up so I can actually mount them. I do have one ring on them for my lanyard. I feel like my bungees are to tight to even allow them to move. I'll have to mess with them.

Looks badass, man. I can't wait to step up into some dual tubes.

Until then, I'll keep busting critters with my TNV/PVS-14

I'll bet that was a pretty long exposure, well over one second. He had to hold pretty still, but you can still tell there's some motion blur.

Israeli goggles with L3 tubes. They are kind of a hardened anvis sytem that runs on a batt pack or the on board AA. They are pretty light and the mount works really well with the Team Wendy LTP, but doesn't stow as flat as I would like. They also have a good illuminator.

Wow, looks interesting.

It is a prototype, and as far as I know there are 3 in the states. I got lucky and bought this set off the guy that originally had the housing imported. I just wish it had a shoe interface..........:(

Added a Wilcox L3 G10 to go with the dual PVS-14s and modified N-Vision mount - also had to stop by Michael's to grab something, and couldn't resist a $4.99 styrofoam head.

Looking better every time that you post Augee.

Funny story regarding the styrofoam wig heads...

Almost a decade ago, I asked my wife to pick up a half dozen the next time that she went by Sally's Beauty Supply.  I don't recall how I knew that they sold them there.    Anyway, one day on the way back to their hub, she and her paramedic stopped to pick them up.  They discussed my intended purpose, and concluded that they must be for 3D targets.  My intended use was a bit more creative.

At the time, I was working on a world record water depth subsea project, and this is what closed-cell polystyrene looks like after it has been subjected to the hydrostatic pressure at -9,000 ft (~4,000+ psi) by running it down in a mesh laundry bag attached to the WROV.

Since the pressure is uniformly applied, the object gets compressed essentially uniformly.  The stuff that we all drew on "Subsea Sheila" with sharpie markers before she went down also maintained uniformity, and was completely legible upon recovery.

When this thread was started a year or so later, re-purposing the leftover heads seemed like a good idea.

That's freaking great - glancing at the photograph first, I thought you were showing off an oversize novelty Coke can.

To be honest, the L3 G10 is slightly disappointing compared to the G24, though at $130 shipped, I think I got a pretty good deal on it - it's not that it's a bad mount - and I do like it, but my biggest complaint on the G24 was the small size of the tilt adjustment - well - the G10's is even worse - and the elevation adjustment is nowhere near as easy or smooth as the G24's.  Still like it better than the Norotos/TATM thumbscrew, though.

It does have the Wilcox features that I like, though, the low stowed profile, breakaway, etc. - I think I need to cinch the mount down a little bit more, though, I have gotten some rotation, particularly with the heavy bridged PVS-14s hanging off of them.  It's a decent stop-gap for the ACH on the way to a G24, until I can get my hands on one, though - but it is clear why the L3 series was discontinued in favor of the L4.

Picked up a BASE in the EE thanks to a heads up from Augee.

Working up to picking up a Contour mount and goggle swivels from TNVC. Just put the M952V on there to mess around with. Not sure how I feel about the BASE, but i just couldn't justify the extra $100 for the Exfil.

Vic, I'm putting this together for a "specific purpose", I'll keep you up to date on how that venture ends up looking.

Looks like the injection site on the back is very pronounced and the holes for the bungee hooks are oddly shaped. No real big deal, but I've never seen a cheap skate helmet that rough.
