Bauer just updated their ETA to May.
I really don't get why it's taking so long to fulfill SURG pre-orders when Sig has been releasing a metric ton of new products over the past 5 months. My dealer mentioned his Sig rep has been saying they're submitting the form 3s for the past 3 months now lol. |

Mine is en route to my FFL. Big question is, do I attach it to my Colt lower as intended, or get a Sig FDE anodized MCX lower?

The barrel, charging handle, forward assist, and dust cover are anodized or painted in Coyote. Another interesting feature, there's a heat shield installed on the bottom of the hand guard, also in Coyote. The suppressor is torqued on tight, I wasn't able to remove it, and take home the upper separately. |

Originally Posted By pogmothoin: will it fit on 1st gen mcx? The one that is in the upper will only fit when using an M4 style lower. It's slightly too long for an MCX. That all makes since because SURG was developed for SOCOM to run on M4 lowers, not MCX's. |

And yeah, it was torqued on pretty good. I blamed the tapered barrel/ silencer. There was no rocksett or threadlocker. I locked in in a set of soft jaws and put a breaker bar on it and it popped right off. |

Why do we have to modify for full auto? Wasn't this upper supposed to fit right on an M4A1 lower, with the lower adapter ofcourse?
I didn't see if it had the auto sear trip in the upper as delivered either, have to assume it was or one was installed. |

I was tempted by the SURG kit the EuroOptic had on sale for ~$3500 this weekend. It looks like they raised it back up to ~$4100 again this morning.

That makes zero sense. If these are true overruns and they obviously installed the sear trip then why would they send a BCG that wasn't sent out in the mil guns? Is it they just won't run with the G SSF? Which is also confusing because are the SSF triggers also not in use w the lowers these could get installed on? |
|

Also, if they are contract overruns they should have chrome lined barrels. Is that the case? Or are they unlined civilian barrels?

View Quote This is mostly in relation to the Trigger he is using and compatibility as far as I can tell if you run a standard Mil Spec trigger it doesn't matter but some of the match triggers can't move the Spear Firing Pin safety from what I understand, which is what he is running. He swaps out the bolt as the older one didn't have the firing pin safety. |

View Quote He said he was using the G SSF trigger with the BCG having the G latch, so why would a standard auto trigger work and the SSF not? I though the G latch allowed for any trigger to work while the S latch required the specific MCX trigger. |
