I have a pretty decent stable of 30 cal cans. Omega 300, Scythe, Resilient Jolene and Ultra5. I'd like to get a good low back pressure 30 cal can. Preferably not a pig, I like lighter weight cans. I like SilencerCo cans but the Velos seems a bit porky at 16.5 ounces. I really like my Griffin Explorr 223, and right now I'm leaning towards the Explorr 30 cal. but wanting to see what else others have their eyes on.

At 8.8 oz, I would think the CAT ODB in Ti might be an option, but that comes with the fact that they’re still a relatively unknown product, wack marketing, and a bit pricey. But it seems like it would check the boxes if you’re willing to take the gamble on it.

I have 2 of the new Rex Ultra Low Back Pressure 308 cans on order. Might be an option for you.

This.

Mine is probably my favorite .30 can.  It’s a goldilocks “just right” in about every category.

That's a heavy pig.

The Flow 762 is a lot lighter, but not Hub.

I have a Hub Explorr 300 as well. I've been looking for something lighter but as durable (ie no Ti) and capable.  I'm failing.

I might just get another Explorr 300

I've actually been eying the Vox-K2.  10oz,  4.9" long. No barrel length restriction.  I wonder how it stacks up against the Resonator K?

The Peak 30 looks interesting too. 11.9 oz, 6.4" long. Also no barrel length restriction. I wonder how hard you can push this one? More durable or less than the Explorr?

@jaqufrost has one.
I’d imagine it’s on the extreme fringe of acceptability being only 4.9”

I have the older Vox-K which is 4.4" in direct thread. I'm not going to say it's a quiet suppressor, but it takes the edge off and is only about 1.5" longer than the original flash hider. It's also full auto rated which was important for my use. 6.8 pushes you around a bit more than 5.56 at 1k RPM but it's still controllable with good stance.

I’ll hopefully have an explorr 300 out in a week or two.  I know they have Ecco flow baffles but I don’t think I would consider it a low back pressure can.

I’ll suggest a Hyperion k or PTR vent but I have never shot or heard one.

No. But when the can is that short back pressure doesn't seem to be a big deal.

@AndrewKing (OCL) is coming out with a low backpressure .30 can at some point this year called the Infinity I believe.

Or go with an EA Lux.  More than the Vox but much lighter.

Good point!  I may have to pickup a Peak and Vox K2 next. I think these might be just what I'm looking for to put on a 16" 7.62x39 AK.

I'm getting to look like an EA fanboy. Just since January, I got a Sonus 9, a Ferox, and I just scored a second ARX.

@dmk0210

If you have had the opportunity to use the Sonus 9, what are your thoughts?  Do you have any particular likes or dislikes, or have you had the opportunity to compare it to any other 9mm cans?  I've been looking for a while but haven't seen much on them.

No, I haven't tried it yet. I just got it delivered from CA a couple weeks ago. I need to get out in my backyard and shoot it, but every weekend something else comes up.
