The original RPG2 had a coil spring/split ring that held the fins down for transport/insertion. As the projo is inserted into the tube, the spring/split ring is pushed forward off of the fins, and contracts slightly in a space provided in front of the fins.
The commies even have a special tool for re-setting the fins if a projectile is removed without being fired.
The spring/split ring; Item #5
Attached FileEven with the split ring holding the fins down, you still have to rotate the projectile into the tube (this is why one side of the indexing slot at the end of the barrel is angled).
The fin twister. I believe that the split ring is loaded on the tool, then the tool is engaged on the fins and rotated until they are twisted against the projectile body. The ring is then pushed forward until it slips off of the tool, and onto the fins.
But, I don't read russian, and I could be wrong.
