Just ordered my Turbo K RB. They are finally back in stock.

Now I get to see how quick these fast approvals go.

I just got my Sonus and TiRant this week. That was 22 days from approval to delivery.

I used my local sheriff as the CLEO from the dropdown list this time. That might have delayed things. Next time I'll fill in the state police commandant as I had been previously doing. I think that went faster.

I feel the opposite. With Silencer Shop it was always a hassle to get my form certified and submitted through my local dealer. I just wanted to get the process started. It was frustrating.

Now with CA, purchase to F4 submitted goes quickly and when you get the form approved, the stress is over. No worries about maybe you made a mistake on the form, maybe the govt will shutdown again, maybe the ATF will get a bug up their butt about something new. You're approved, you have a signed copy of your F4 and you're good to go. It's just CA handling their business to get the can to you.

So, my contribution. Purchased a SurgeX on 2/23/24. eForm filed. I don't have time to put exact dates, but I'll say everything was signed and completed within a couple days via docusign. I had all my info on file already from a purchase last July 23 (paper form...still waiting). CA sent emails with updates every step of the way. Certification over the phone couldn't have been easier. Was notified of CLO notification as well as his acknowledgement. Got shipping/tracking info by email. That mo-fo arrived yesterday by UPS, signature.

So...from purchase to the X in my grubby mitts: 2/23/24---3/21/24.

I absolutely cannot say enough about how seamless this process was. CA will ABSOLUTELY be getting more of my business.

They just restocked some Surefire inventory yesterday and I snagged an SB2 in FDE as I needed a tan can in my life.

I got a Wolverine and RC3 from them and both took 3 business days but not batched, now just waiting on shipping.

Im on day 8 of waiting for a naked stainless Wolfman from my LGS using the SS kiosk so hopefully that gets approved soon.

Ordered 2 cans in October. One was approved a few weeks ago. Still waiting on the other. Webpage tells me to wait on the 4473 until the 2nd is approved. Wondering how long that is going to take.

Question about next steps. Ordered supressor from griffin week ago, got emails from capitol about creating profile and needing fingerprints and set that up.

Decided to go get digital prints today since I was off and uploaded EFT file to my capitol profile this morning.

Next step is to wait on email to fill out eform 4?

They make it way too easy, just ordered another from them.  Once your docs are file, it's add to cart, buy, docu-sign, and certify the next business day.  I always ship UPS because you can upgrade UPS service for $20 a year, which lets you hold the package at the depot or re-schedule if you can't be home on delivery day to sign for it.

My local SS dealer isn't real responsive on NFA stuff, expensive for everything else, and I'd rather avoid dealing with them.  So it's CA for in-stock stuff and another friendly non-SS local dealer for everything else.

I was #3 in queue yesterday and they were in-call training another specialist to certify.  Didn't take much extra time and I got to walk through their side of it as well.

With current wait times, it'd be best to jump on whatever you want when it's in stock, CA is probably going to be slammed for the foreseeable future.

My CA experience (already have an account with ATF and have done submissions through it).
So all about the same time, I bought a can from CA, from my LGS and from SS.

SS: Still waiting. I believe that it's still waiting on the Form3 transfer.
LGS: 2 day approval, picked up the next day so 3 days total.
CA: Delivered today, about a month from purchase date.

CA's process is simple, straightforward and friendly. Wish the turn around was better, especially with the new approval times.

Purchased: 2/24/2024
(mailed in prints)
eForm-4 certified: 3/6/2024
Approved: 3/12/2024
Notice of sent to CLEO: 3/13/2024
Notice of CLEO accepted: 3/21/2024
Notice of shipped: 3/25/2024
Delivered: 3/26/2024

Process has been pretty fast. Now waiting on the CLEO notification and wait. That part sucks, but oh well.
Got the CA email saying sent to CLEO on 3/19, not sure when they actually mail it and how long it would take to get from Tx to Va.
If I understand correctly, whenever they get notification then it's another 7 days before they can ship it to me?

It’s more like two weeks after approval. GA has to fill out a 4473, send it to your for review, then the 4473 gets sent to the CLEO via certified US mail, and AFTER CA gets notified that the 4473 was received, then the 7 day clock starts.  After 7 days pass, then they send the can to you via whatever shipping you picked.  CA is pretty quick about sending you the 4473 for approval, but that plus mailing time through the US mail, adds to the 7 days.

That doesn’t sound right if the CLEO got the 4473 on 11/13.  The 7 days aren’t over until 11/20.  I can’t believe that they shipped the cans to you before the 7 days were up.  Even if you didn’t actually get them until 11/21, I’m very surprised they shipped them “at risk”.

Had CA special order a GSL Phoenix for me. GSL are 8-10 weeks out.  Hopefully that’s fairly spot on.

My Nomad L I ordered, the noticed was sent to my sheriff and welt this week. Hopefully that process is quick. Not sure exactly how that works. If the sheriff has to sign something and send back or not. My sheriff is a lazy, ego headed ass. What can you expect from a democrat tho…

nope they just have to have the he received it from the certified mail. Look at it this way...I think mine lets out a cuss word every time he gets one knowing he cant stop it. it brings a little warmth to my heart in the process.

I was hoping for another 2 day on my other 2 cans setting out there but I am now at 10 days. I went head and did the 4473 for the ones that were approved, got me email this morning off to the 14day weight to ship was really hoping I would have the last two cans before the 13th since I was going to a shoot but no luck it will seem.

The date that Capitol Armory notifies you that the CLEO received the 4473 is not necessarily the date that the CLEO received the 4473.

I waited for 3 cans bought at 3 different times to be approved last year before I filled out the 4473. I was out of town for work, so it wasn’t a big deal. You still get whacked with the shipping costs for each individual purchase, even if they ship together to you.

I’m not waiting anymore for multiple stamps to come in, unless I’m out of town. If I’m paying the shipping anyway, I might as well fill out the 4473 as soon as I can.

Yeah that's a little annoying.  I've never ordered more than one can on a single order. I just got two cans delivered together in the same box last week. Two separate orders and I paid $59 total shipping for that.  OK. There's a lot of paperwork with the 4473 registered mail and they simplify the process. It's a bit steep, but whatever.

After buying those two, I ordered three more cans in three separate orders. That totaled up to $75 in shipping charges. I just got one of those F4s approved. I went to sign the 4473 and CA gave me a notice that I should wait 7 days in case one of the other cans gets approved. They said if I continue, I might get charged an additional $39 if they have to send the cans separately. WTF?

I continued anyway hoping this is a canned alert and the system assumes these are all in the same order. I'm going to be pissed if I get dinged for $114 in total shipping.

@Joshua_CapitolArmory can you comment on this?

I should be getting 3 delivered today from 3 separate orders today with 3 separate shipping charges. I paid X price and they’ll be delivered for that price. If Capitol can make a few extra bucks, or not lose money during the process, I don’t mind.

I had four delivered at one time but the shipping lady at CA reached out to me beforehand to ask if it was okay if she held onto them and shipped them at one time. I was happy to go this route as it seemed simpler for CA and less of a headache for me in trying to be home to sign for four different packages.

My local dealer held my shipment for whatever reason. CA was awesome and upgraded my shipping to overnight delivery without me even asking for this; I just wanted my local dealer to drop my order off to UPS. My experience with CA in the purchasing of 11 cans has been tremendous.

they way I look at I try to wait. to help keep the work load down. this time I waited 10 days since I figured the other 2 would be approved 3 different orders shipping paid on each one 3 days apart had to check to make sure I could get the other 2 cans, one back in 2 days.  so I am like ok the others should be getting here, 10 days no others and I really needed the first can I order and approved for a shoot I have coming up the 15th so I was like ok I will do the 4473 for this one.  I try keep them together, but if they ever charge me extra to shipping I will have no problem with it if they call me due to cheaper than transfer fee dealers around here charge. its also worth its weight in gold that I dont have to deal with SS. I went to 10 differnt SS dealers and could not stand any of the 10. found one that was 1.5 hours away I could work with them and bought stuff from there store. but I would much rather deal with CA

Yeah, I don't mind that.  I just had my Sonus and Tirant from separate orders delivered in the same box last week.

But did they give you a notice that they wanted to charge you an extra $39 when you logged in to fill out your 4473?

I've purchased 9 suppressors from CA in the last two years. I find it hard to believe they are losing money from selling suppressors to me.
