Well we have seen them in NC and KS now so its only a matter of days they make their way to mine and others LGS I can imagine. I haven't been this excited for a new gun in a long time.

Also the inside of the box looks like it might fully accommodate a 16" barreled carbine version. Future plan perhaps? The cardboard cutout looks pretty specific to the EVO, and there is plenty of room for a longer barrel. If they were just going to offer the standard 7" barrel why have a bigger box....

Anyone know what type of sling mounting points will work best with the ones on the EVO? HK Loops maybe?

On the 7th Automatic Accuracy put up "We were informed by CZ-USA today that our Scorpion order should arrive somewhere around the end of January!  No word on magazines or factory folding stocks as of yet.  We will keep you guys updated. We still have a few Scorpions that will be unclaimed when they show up, but not many."

$830 shipped with a $200 deposit. I can wait a few weeks to pay that instead of $1250.

Yep. And he's 40 minutes up the road from me.

And he's FAST.  8 year old video, he's faster now.

Cool. So have you had past dealings with them? I had never heard of them before so I was a bit hesitant about ordering from them but I read from someone local to them that they were good to go.

Guess that I am one of the chosen few, thanks to all that provided possible leads.
Got a call today at noon EST, and my CC has been charged $798.55.
Will arrive at FFL Wednesday, but can't make it out until Saturday to pick it up.

I went ahead and gave it a try and put in an order. Worst case if nothing happens by the 27th of next month, when I pay my CC bill, I will have the charge removed if they are seeming sketchy.

Yep. I was a young USPSA shooter when I met him. Honestly, he probably wouldn't know me from Adam,  but he's taught me a tin. He's the kind of guy that's always there to help anyone improve themselves. And he obviously isn't trying to sell these for every penny he can, considering the price.

Word from my dealer is CZ is not pleased to hear about these capitalist dealers.

My dealer said that there is going to be another shipment from CZ to the distributors and then he will be in on the shipment after that (different dealer than thunderbird tactical in wichita) and he should have one for me in a month or so.

I can wait.

CZ should be ecstatic as if people continue to buy them for $1200 then CZ can raise their price to meet  market determined value.

Don't be giving them ideas.......then again I think their plan this entire time was to sink the SIG MPX and get a bite out of the MP5 and AR15 pistol market.  Also this entire time they have been saying that mags will be under $20.  That is a huge factor for a lot of people that hate spending $40-50 per mag.

It would severely damage the sales if they raised the price. Early adopters are always willing to pay more and a price increase would not be seen well by the average buyer.

Meh. It happens with every product from iPhones to xbox to cars and guns. There will always be the people willing to pay stupid prices to be the 1st guy on the block.

I'm sure they saw it coming.

If CZ will continue with supply the prices will normalize.

Word on the CZ-USA facebook page is that the "sig brace adapter" is pretty much a AR buffer tube threaded adapter, so you could realistically unscrew the pistol tube and add a carbine tube for a AR stock if you SBR it and dont like the folding CZ stock. The adapter kit will come with the adapter and a pistol buffer tube, adding the sig brace is up to the user.

from Facebook

"CZ-USA  When we know delivery date and pricing on the stock, we'll make it known. Rest assured, they will go right on with the push of a button. And a Form 1 and the requisite wait time..."

ya, damage their sales, and company reputation. They already have MSRP out there. Suddenly upping it by 40-45% would make them look like (insert explicit).

Not a piston, just adapter. It is direct thread

That is unfortunate. I'd rather have the piston.

Some entrepreneurial MFG will have an adapter out for it by the time they're on the market at normal prices.....

Not much point in making a piston for a thread pitch that will never likely need a booster. Direct thread is a superior option for fixed barrels, so I am glad they went that route.
