Looks like the Bushmaster ACR page is back. There isn't much info right now, hopefully, Franklin Armory shares a timeline when we might be able to order one.

They posted this on social media this afternoon I hope "perfected" doesn't include an M4 notch barrel profile |

Exciting stuff to be sure... I always liked the look and theory behind the ACR, it was the price that always put me off. I was thinking about getting a CZ Bren carbine but have been put off by complaints about its accuracy. If the ACR comes back to market at a decent price point and without any major issues, I might go that route instead...

Could be cool.
Staying tuned in. Hope "perfecting" it doesn't mean they put an Izzy Brake on the barrel and call it perfect. |

Will the barrel be rifled?

Hopefully the wait isn't too long, I need an FDE one to go with my black one. Current one now has a fixed barrel, so I'll probably keep the QD setup on the new one.

Adjustable stock, 16” pencil barrel, rifle length plastic hand guard, and actual FDE and I’ll be on it like flies on shit.
ETA: Actually they should make everything medium coyote tan like the M3 PMAG. |

IMHO the rifle was pretty well rounded by the time it was discontinued. Mine was from the 2nd to last production run from what I can tell. |

There are a few dudes who installed their factory heat shields in them and put them on their rifles. IMHO it really balances out the look of the 18" guns. |

Interesting, didn't flannel boy just do a video on the ACR?

Being that most of the air soft guns were based on the Masada and not the ACR, I’m not surprised. |

Bushmaster sent some guys out for feedback so we sat down with him. He told us they had done a bunch of market research to lead them to choosing the M4 cut barrel. I asked him if he knew what the cut was for and pointed out how it was worthless especially since this isn't an AR. He didn't understand the problem. Could have been so much more than it was. I wish Franklin Armory the best with it. |

Wishing only the best for Franklin. I really wanted the ACR when it came out.
It should be our new service rifle in 6mm. It's amazing how short sighted Freedom Group was. Guess they could not look beyond the next quarter. |

Freedom group was a good-sounding name for a group that was all about a quick dollar in the end and wasn’t there to improve the domestic firearms industry. |

I, like many others was so excited when Magpul came out with the design. I , like many others was so disappointed when Bushmaster executed the design and I never bought one. I hope FA gets it right, I need one in my stable…

I really liked my black one with the fixed stock. The M4 profile barrel was truly gay though.
