Ordered some parts and accessories for my 55X rifles, approved Form 6s, Rolf said he was submitting for permits for several items, and haven’t heard since. It’s been over two months and the package hasn’t moved.

A few months ago. Came in a week, which has been the norm from past experience. He had all parts in stock. Rolf is great to deal with.

Yeah I’ve tried emailing him several times with no response. Package shows as still in Swiss customs, I’m assuming waiting on the export permits for the mags and bayonet

I just realized they charged my card again for another $350 almost 3 months after they initially charged me for the order. No email, receipt, call or anything. I’m confused, I know they’re legit and last time had no issues but the lack of communication and the additional random charges have me concerned

If the second charge wasn't authorized then dispute it.  I bet they will contact you then to get things straightened out.

I finally made contact via email, not sure he understood but I sent him a screenshot of the extra charge. I’d dispute it otherwise but the products are still waiting export approval. They have a rep as honest sellers, I’m sure it’s a mistake

Yep it’s all good. I called him Tuesday, he said he’d check into it. Emailed me later in the day saying that he made a mistake and charged my account instead of someone with a similar name. Refund was issued and he also got the shipment moving again. Excellent resolution.

Looks like the package finally left Switzerland. Under a new tracking number.

Unless I ordered something else from there I wasn’t aware of.

Good to know. Did you ever get an explanation why?

yeah I bought a swiss mil issued stgw90 cleaning kit from them and it got here faster than domestic (US) shipments.. You do have to pester them sometimes ( i called them on the phone, slightly awkward when they answer in german)

Nope.

Sitting in US customs now. I move in a month so hopefully they’ll clear it before then. I have approved Form 6s so not concerned about that part, just concerned about delays.

Sort of weird, I received the package today. It had been inspected by CBP as indicated by CBP tape.  All the bayonets and small parts I ordered were in the box but the 9 55x magazines of various types were not in the box.

I'm assuming that if CBP thought something was restricted they would have pulled the whole package, not just select items (I have approved Form 6 Part Is so the import was approved). I'm guessing this may be an error on gunfactory's part.

Also I’m not sure the box had enough room left in it for 9 mags.

ETA: I found the mount stuck under a flap in the box so its just the 9 missing mags. I'm guessing it was more likely a packaging mistake.

Crap. Hope it gets resolved. Just use your Klaus Schwab accent when you call them up.

Hope it works out... customs is staffed with mostly worthless fucks, and if you get inspected by a anti-gun Biden voter they'll probably make up a bullshit reason to seize items.

Yeah I submitted inquiries to both CBP and USPIS, waiting for response.

I don't partake this forum anymore but I came across this today and thought I would share my recent experience.  I ordered a sling and 550 handguard from Gunfactory.ch

A couple weeks ago it came.  The sling was inside but there was no handguard to be found.

The packing slips were in a pouch on the bottom but there was a section on top that said documents  (in german) that I believe was for customs paperwork to go.  It was empty.  The box was obviously cut open and resealed with customs tape.  There were 2 invoices inside for the handguard but strangely enough no invoice for the sling which did come.

I emailed Rolph and he basically said "that's really strange nothing like that has happened in 25 years ive worked here" (personally I think that is probably BS).  Told me I could report it stolen and left it at that like tough shit.  He wasn't rude or anything.

I just told him I was going to contact my credit card company for a chargeback because the shipper is responsible for insurance claims etc on packages.  Then I later sent an email saying I was willing to pay the $75 export fee again if they would just go ahead and ship me another.  I told him I wouldn't call my credit card company if they did this.  I felt like it is fair because we are both losing something.  I don't like paying $75 more but I just want the damn handguard at this point.

He said it would not be right for me to contact my credit card company since they did everything right.  He said if I authorized the charge for $75 they would send another though so I guess he agreed with my reasoning.  I explained I understand they did everything right but I also did.  I paid good money for something that never showed up.

I don't know if he thinks I am a scammer but he sent me a copy of the export license for the new one a couple days ago so I am assuming it has shipped.

Honestly if it doesn't come I will just say fuck it.  I only wanted it because I drilled holes in my handguard for the rail for the B&T brass catcher.  In all honesty the new handguard will live its life in my safe until I am dead.  I just wanted an unmodified one.

The original order was June 13 and now that Ive looked I got a copy of the new export license on August 24.  Crossing my fingers.

Just making sure I understand... US customs inspected the package and a part was missing. Have you gotten a customs seizure letter yet? They can take as long as 2 months to send those.

I am no expert on the process.  I communicated with Rolf from gunfactory before ordering and he walked me through.  He assured everything was good and I believe the package insured.  It seemed very off because it was very haphazardly resealed and there was a pouch that was supposed to have some documentation that was empty.  If this was a seizure and I get a letter great I will know.

I only warned Rolff of chargeback when he really offered no help and indicated he'd basically never heard of such a thing.  If he had said it could have been seized and I should wait whatever I may have just waited.

I really don't want to post here.  I wanted to give the OP my insite.  I don't have anything else to add.  I'll just personally message him to update him if I get the next one in case he is interested.

I have seen customs return inspected items that were basically destroyed by careless handling. I would not be surprised if they conveniently forgot to include all original contents of the package.

If you ever thought the TSA sucked and employed unemployable social rejects, Customs is far worse, especially since they aren’t out working in public where personal property owners can film or stop them.

No customs tape this time.  This came fast.  Cost me an extra $75 but at least I got it.

You can't help yourself can you.  I had at least half a dozen members tell me to ignore the old douchebag via pm and not leave here. All of them thought you were an insufferable prick. Yea I check this forum out from time to time but after encountering you I decided it wasn't worth my time or efforts to post anymore.  I felt compelled to post only because I had the exact same frustrating experience as him around the same time frame.  My initial gut reaction was right to keep to myself.  You show your ass to everyone Mr show me your papers.  Go right a letter to the ATF or something.

I come to ar15.com every day I am at work when I'm on a break.  Mostly stick to general discussion.  Sometimes I browse.   I will definitely only browse here for good. Have a good one.

Edited to add I am just adding you to ignore. I have no desire to read any messages you send me so I am deleting them and hope that this will keep me from receiving any more. So I have no idea what it said.

I kinda like your "non-posts".  Much like the TV character Bert in the old series SOAP.  He believed he could render himself invisible by snapping his fingers.
(hey, don't tell him it doesn't work)

I submit;
You started the tour by asking if 922r was "still a thing" for SWISS SIG 55x rifles while mocking a seller's asking price on Gun Broker.    AFTER posting pictures of your guns (why?) you then learned that 922r is "indeed a thing" and that it is the Main driver of the pre-ban market$$.

My bet is that I'm just one of the many characters in your SAGA.  Secret Alien Gestapo Agents

You should be good to go then.

If customs seizes something (even for a bullshit reason), they start flagging all packages going to that address. So the part was either lost at the point of origin, or during the inspection.
