Do not put powder in the breech and try to blow it out!!!!!! There will at a minumum be a permanent bulge in the barrel at that point if it does not tulip at the end!!!!!!!!!!
Pull the breach plug and force it out with a rod if compressed air or grease does not work.

Ok. So I got tired of trying Air and grease - neither would work. So I put it in my barrel vise and decided it was time to remove the breach plug.
Figured out why the air and grease didn't work...
My wrench - 5ft iron pipe and an adjustable wrench.
And the plug.
It was solid for a few inches - dirt, rust and God knows what else. No wonder the oil and air had nowhere to go.
I was able to dig through it with a pick and file...
I still had to smack the crap out of the marble - luckily it broke up and came out.
I've got some bore cleaning to do... Damn thing looks like an old shit pipe.
Edit - Let the record show those are Lacrosse Alphaburly boots and not camo crocks - and my middle finger is normal length - contrary to the angle of the hand picture.
I know this isn't GD, but I figured I'd start defending myself before the storm rolled in.

Awesome! It lives!
As for the barrel looking like a sewer pipe: I hear if you shoot a marble through it, it'll clear all of that corrosion right out.

It's 15 below zero outside and the range is covered in about 7ft of snow.
I wouldn't hold your breath.

Not bad. I'm going to keep at it a bit - but it doesn't look so much like a sewer pipe anymore.
I put it back together without snapping a pic - I'll see if I have a light small enough to drop down in there (hopefully that doesn't get stuck.. ) and snap a pic or two.

Marking in front of the trigger guard -
Marking on the forend - Must have belonged to John Delorean.
Probably pretty easy for him to get parts
I used all brass wool - and removed nothing but filth from it.
I used a scotch brite pad on the stock - as someone had it stripped and covered in poly finish - it now has about 10 coats of Formsby's tung oil.
