The Swampfox Liberator II red dot is in stock and shipping, we have them on our website and Rainer Arms has them already as well.
Liberator was our first product back in 2018 and it's well proven, it has sold well, but the 3,000 hour battery life was looking pretty dated in 2021. We took the technologies that we had invested in to create our Liberty and Justice 2nd gen pistol dot sights and circled back around to incorporate them into the closed emitter micro dot form factor of the Liberator. Liberator II features a raw battery life of 10,000 hours with typical use, but that's not considering the addition of motion-sensing Shake 'N Wake illumination. As with Liberty, Justice and Sentinel, and also our Blade and Trihawk prism scopes, Shake N Wake is tilt switch type technology-- you set the optic down and about four minutes later it shuts down illumination entirely to save battery life. Even a very small motion will instantly wake it back up to the previous brightness level. In terms of real world battery life it should exceed one year but we are telling everyone to change out their batteries once a year anyway, just to make sure. That's the safe bet.
MSRP on Liberator II is $189.99 including two mounts, an absolute co-witness mount for AR ergonomics and a low profile mount for other applications like shotguns and AKs, or the Ruger MkIV in the photo above. We didn't reinvent the wheel here, just put the best electronics we have into a scope body that we already know works great, and kept the price down as a result.
The first run of Liberator IIs feature 2 MOA red dots, and the run being built now will features 2 MOA green dots. ETA on the greens is about 8-10 weeks away.
Daily Shooter already has a review out, we sent him a production optic about a week ago while all the rest were going through QC. Yeah he got a free scope for the review but he spent at least double the money in .308 Win ammo testing it out, so we figure it's even Stevens on that.
