I would really like to know how a RN can afford a quarter million dollars worth of mags.

If you have more mags than you can physically carry on your body, your good. I have 10 mags for each complete AR, and 10 mags for range use. But i still buy them when on sale for SHTF. Ammo is kind of more important now. Not to mention the various "high cap" pistol mags i need.

I have 88 loaded mags, in the safe, micro-rigs and ammo cans.   Just got 10 more PMags in the mail, left them niw in the box and stacked in closet.

I decided one month I will buy more mags, next month buy more ammo.

Hmmm. I refuse to gather them all up and take pictures. Maybe I will take pictures of the wall in the basement where some of my ammo and most of my mags are stored some time.

Most of this, and all my cool old guns, were bought in the 80s and 90s when I had a shit ton of disposable income and was single. Most of it is also in Mom's basement in WW2 50 ammo cans on risers along with the big safe because I ain't movin' it until I retire.

I look at the cases and wonder how much that translates into more guns. Or mags or ammo. Bourbon....But they will be secure, and who am I to say.

I counted up my mags a few weeks ago, and found that I don't even have enough bullets to fill up  all my mags.  I need to change priorities until I get that straightened out.

I am getting bored stacking mags and ammo deep.  So I have started to stack some more exotic stuff like AK47 Russian Slabsides, Waffles, Bakelites 30 and 40 Rds, hell even Norinco Bakelites.  Also some random blue and orange PMags (ar15) just cause.

Have done already this year some nice budget build ARs, did my first AR10, the custom wood for my Yugo AK as posted up on here, hell even the wayyyyy overboard AR15 pistol that is gonna have about $1800 into it once I slap the last couple pieces on it being delivered this week which is up in the AR15 Pistol section.

But random mags I mean hell I am running out of storage space, the wifey is getting mad at me when another 20 to 40 mags are delivered and I already have anywhere from 100 to 150 mags per rifle so maybe time to cool off a bit.



Until we see some deals on surplus AK mags again or $5 Aluminum AR mags or $8 PMags that is of course.

Last 40rd bakelite I saw for sale was going for $150.
I have been looking for one(5) of those for years.
They are my unobtainium.

I also have a shitload, and will likely be selling the pre-ban content (a couple hundred 30's and maybe 20 20 rounders) before too long.
The only pic I have was in the old thread (probably near the beginning) and was at the time fairly impressive.  By today's standards I'm probably a piker.....

i just did an inventory on my mags.  194 AR mags.  192 are 30 or 40 rounders (PMAG, USGI, Lancer, etc), 1-20rder and 1-5rd for hunting.

but i NEED more pistol mags.

as a starting point,you always need just a couple more



 

Well, I just took delivery today on number 1000 and I have almost 400 of them loaded, I don't know if that makes a whore, but I know I can equip the whole top of the mountain where I live here in MT.

Gonna try to get to 100 NIW pmags so if there is another panic I can make $8-10k



I only have 40 AK mags, so I need to pic up another 20-30 and I will be good as my AKs/RPKs never get
