BLUF I don’t have a paid membership and search didn’t bring up any similar topics.
Say i had a 300 blk pistol upper, are there any existing pistol caliber conversions to fire cheaper ammo than 300 blk. Could such a thing be made or is the juice not worth the squeeze? |

The only common cartridges that might work would be 32ACP or 30 SC but they both use bullets .004 larger in diameter. It would still probably work but I am not sure either of those would save you any money. You just need to start reloading 300 BO

The only adapters I'm aware of fire ammo that is MORE expensive than 300AAC.
I suggest buying a 22Lr upper. |

Just get a 9mm upper compatible with Endo mags so you can use the same lower

If you're not too attached to the 300BO, you could swap the barrel for 5.56
Ammo cost is similar but then you can run a cmmg 22 conversion kit. Otherwise your next best bet is a 9mm upper with with magwell/block/mags of your preference. |

No adapter that I know off. I had a PSA 10.5" 5.56 that I hated. Dropped in a .22LR conversion kit, removed the gas block/tube and reinstalled a gas block backwards (to block the gas port). It is now the gun I shoot the most. At some point will get a true .22LR upper, but for now, I shoot that since 300blk ammo isn't super cheap.
