Its the PRI Recce rail, goes with their Gen III handguard. Use it with ARMS medium #22 rings, or something similar in height.

Thank you.  My life is missing some precision shooting.  So I reconfigured.  I think this one might stay like this for a while and see what I can do with different ammo all plopped down either prone or benched.  I know my optic is crap compared to some, but it works.   Love me some fixed stock for shooting like that.  Although I'm debating on trying my B5 Sopmod for this.  But I'm also debating on putting the A1 buttplate back on, and spraying it OD.  For that "look".  LOL.  Whatever that is.

Its a handy rifle as it sits; a sopmod would make it even handier.

Yes, thank you.  I keep thinking I'd like to sbr and get a 10.3" and call it a MK18 CQBRish, but I'd get shunned for the non correct rail.  Even though it's the right company, right length.    It would look CLOSE.    It's an old rail.  Over 10 years.

I like it, it looks like one of the builds done by MSTN about 10 years ago - especially with the fixed stock. I have a similar one built with a KAC Medium Length FF RAS.

This should fit here!
Noveske Lower Aero upper
Geissele SSA, MK4 rail, gas block, and super precision mount
BA barrel
AEm5
NF 1-4

All guns have to be distance guns. If I'm grabbing one its the SCAR and the last option is the grendel unless I'm shooting a unicorn.

Thank you.  Same Era, different builder (ADCO).  Now I'm trying to decide if I keep going with the paint.  Hopefully I can get to the range and give it a work out soon.  It's been a while since I've actually tried to shoot for small groups.  I'm not sure I can do it any more.  LOL.  The sopmod stock swap debate rages on.  The fixed just feels so good.  But then again, so does the sopmod.  I think it actually balances better with the fixed.  The extra weight in the back works.

throwback to my SPRecce :)

[Last Edit: JJREA] [#48]
Had some Recce fun today.  I wasn't sure how it would go because last winter I was doing something with it in the basement and it took a spill and hit the base of my work lamp and the concrete.  I had shot it a few times and one time I was thinking it should be grouping a bit better.  And I apologize for not stretching it's legs to 100.  It's been a while since I shot for groups.  Easing back into it.  I just used the bipod and that dumb little green rear caldwell bag thing.  You get in the set.  There was a little bit of movement.  Next time I'll go prone on the concrete and do 100.  I really should start to handload too.

And yeah, the sopmod stock does work really well for this type of shooting.  I kept debating back and forth between a fixed and this and I knew I could run a fixed well for precision shooting.  Because I have in the past.  So I thought I'd take the leap and try it out.

I was just finishing zeroing it with this group.  So there were two adjustments I think.  I went too far left and then went back right.  But I should've did another test with the XM193 later.  It seems like it might do well.  But the kids were getting hungry and wanted to go, so I only got a few test groups in.

I thought I'd do better with this load, but it was probably me.  Or it doesn't like them as much as I thought it did.  Sorry about the orientation of the pic.

I had never shot this stuff before, but I think I might have to get some more.  I heard it's been going up in price because it's no longer a secret that it does so well for a "budget" type load.

I zero'd the AP PRO on this upper too.  But I'll be honest.  I'm not sure I like it any more than irons.  It's the first red dot I've ever had.  And it's weird, if I leave both my eyes open wide, I lose the dot.  Or it goes back and forth.  I'm not sure what's up with my eyes.  If I squint my left eye, it's good to go.   It's the same thing I have to do with the irons now too.  It's almost like my right eye is becoming less dominant.  I didn't have this problem 10 years ago.   I think it's still a bit easier to sight in, once my left eye is squinted.  But I've been skeptical ever since I got it.  I'm not sure I gain that much from it.  I know most people will say that's stupid though.  And maybe it is.  But in the end I think the best thing for me is a scope.  Now if only I could afford an ACOG.
