I have a couple PSA uppers, but no 556. Currently, my only rifle can is a YHM Resonator, so it's fairly long. I just want something to play with in the yard that's not 300BO, that doesn't disturb the neighbors.
I'm not much into optics, so a carry handle or BUIS would fill the bill easily. I know I can build much better, but this meets my wants pretty well. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-10-5-5-56-nato-1-7-nitride-moe-upper-with-bcg-charging-handle-516446192.html Attached File |

I prefer the premium CHF/CL barrels, but that's just me.

LaRue rear sight Tactical B.U.I.S. QD LT103 Then add an Sig Romeo 5 to co-witness on that upper. I like this stainless barrel upper better but that’s just me. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-10-5-5-56-nato-1-7-stainless-steel-10-5-lightweight-m-lok-upper-with-bcg-ch.html |

So far I see 4 barrels listed & don't see one that I would say "Don't get that" to. Really comes down to what you want it for, what you prefer & your budget. You didn't mention being on a budget, that's why I recommended the premium upper. I have a few & they are all great.

It's the best deal for the money. This is the upper I have on my home defense pistol. Short, easy to move around, added a flashlight and it's good to go. Even if I miss, it's going to be loud enough for the burglars to crap themselves for sure.

Those are good to go. Their nitride barrels are quite good now.
someone here took an 11.5 to over 10k rounds full auto or something like that. |

That exact upper, plus a can and a red dot, is my deer pistol. It has been outstanding and is a heck of a value.

Value wise, they’re hard to beat. They’re good to go.

Basic Budget Blaster: The PSA Lightweight 11.5 upper I just sold my 11.5 Nitride lightweight upper to a buddy. It was very accurate; I was stacking Federal 55gr SPs at 50yds with a red dot. The only issue with mine was that the barrel was not dimpled for the gas block set screws, and the gas block rotated slightly. That obviously won’t be a problem with the pinned FSB. I’d say to buy with confidence. |

The American way is to buy a price, not a product. And, it's just as good as a Knights Armament, so I say buy 2!

My only bitch about PSA uppers is how over torqued some of them have been. Probably fine if you never need to dismount the barrel, or they have started to use proper torque specs…
