Colt 10.5 inch...magpul stock...Daniel Defense Omega 7.0 rail..Surefire X300 light....Aimpoint CompML3...and the rest is history....This is my most favorite of my collection...it is functional, lightweight and accurate........I built this rifle with the intentions of functionality only...nighttime capabilities and LIGHTWEIGHT....and I must say...out of all the rails out there and I have owned them all...Daniel Defense is by far the best....

New guy here. Been reading for years. Love the information.
I am working on my second weapon in 2 weeks after having a dry spell of about 15 years lol. I have been like many guys wanting an AR for years and there was no better time than now. I can't believe some of the prices now. Surplus Ammo & Arms is local to me so I was able to get everything in stock. Ended up with the a complete lower assy with two mags for. Using a Tapco stock to be the same as our 10/22. If you will notice I drilled the lower reciever frame so it could be pinned front and rear. I never liked the mil spec trigger guard. Now it is rock solid. I let my 10 year old son do some paint work with me. He did a phenominal job. I did the reaper and he did the fire/safe marks. Not sure on the barrel make other than it is chrome lined 1 : 9 twist. DPMS picatinny gas block. Looks very well built. This was purchased pre assembled from SA&A. Burris AR-PEPR mount. Weaver Kaspa Tactical 2.5-10 x 44 illuminated mil-dot scope. Setting up and playing with the adjustable butt stock and working with eye relief has been a little bit of a challange. I have a winning combination to the eye (these pictures) but it makes it very slightly annoying to pull back the charging handle. Can't wait to shoot it. I can finally post a picture in here. So here it is. This is my first Ar-15 and my first ever build. Ill get better pictures with a better camera later but I just could not wait. 14.5" Bcm light weight upper, BCG and Gunfighter charging handle (mod 4). Magpul MOE pistol grip, trigger guard, Pmag 30, and foregrip. DD A1.5 BUIS. Lrb arms stripped lower with stag arms lower parts kit. Vltor mod stock with BCM buffer tube and H buffer. Noveske qd backplate and IWG micro flush mount qd. I am pretty sure that is eveything for now. Optics, sling, white light and a travel case coming soon. Thanks for looking and any comments are welcome :)

Yea I think the scope that I have is the same as that from the performance stand point but not the same aesthetically. Anyway, I have not had any eye relief problems if anything it could be scooted forward a little (Nose to charging handle). The mount is great, as one would expect from Larue, but the Duplex of the scope is a bit thick for my liking. In hindsight, I would have saved another $250 for a Vortex Viper Pst 1-4x or something similar.

My first build, if you could call it that. I slapped an upper on a lower and called it a day, more an assembly if ya ask me, but its still my pride and joy.

First build, built from scratch. Really happy with the final outcome. XTM rail panels are in the mail, I am gonna attempt to do the camo pattern with them (4 colors).

This was my first AR and started as a stock DPMS Sportical with 16" direct impingement upper. It's gone through many iterations over the years and I think I'm finally done with it
