That 300blk Mod H is siiick.
I've only been to the range once with a magnified optic on my 300. Usually stays on my 14.5" 5.56. Other than the weight and size, I like it on the blackout.

Tell us about that paint,  Stagepaint.  Colors, net, method?  Really like the green.

Thanks, all Rusto camo paint for the tan base, olive drab and dark brown. Then American Accents Nutmeg and Leafy Green for little spots in there I think. Maybe Rusto Hunter Green a little bit too, hard to remember. I have a lot of scrap cans laying around haha.
It's a mix of laundry bag and pine straw for the stenciling

Love the thread -

A lot of us are concerned with weight, but with suppressor usage a lot of us want an adjustable gas block.

The best IMO is the Micro MOA Gas Block. I've got 2 and enjoy them a lot. However, he's never made any for the 0.625 profile gas ports.

He's currently building a waiting list" for exactly that on his website to gauge interest.

This would be a huge step forward IMO and if you think you'd ever like to run a LW profile barrel with one of his blocks this is your chance to make it happen.

When you're at the range and you want to see how your SBR is grouping at 100, but all that you have is your bolt action scope.  What do you do?  Make a mini recce of course.  Talk about a bad cheekweld, stock was fully extended while shooting groups.

Why's it interesting? A lot of these have 1-?x optics and are viable CQB rifles if needed to be. Just curious where you're going with that is all...

I like it, been thinking about raising many of my optics as well.

IMHO, I "feel" like I have more situational awareness, and feel much more comfortable and less cramped, particularly when wearing a helmet, over the ears hearing protection/comms, and if I have NODs in place.

I like to put the stock towards the center of my sternum. Tall optic mounts are more comfortable, and I get good control of the rifle with it lower on my chest.

What height is that ADM?

BCM 11.5" upper, originally with a KMR10. Battle Arms Development Form 1'd lower. AEM3 that gets jumped between this and the 16". Geissele SD-C trigger, LMT Enhanced Carrier, Gasbuster, Vltor A5H3 Buffer. Don't usually shoot it like this with the variable, but a 1-4x along the lines of a SWFA with DMR ret. is something I definitely want to have as an option for this rifle; it was my original plan. Using a PRI front sight gas block and KMR 7 right now, probably going to change it up again before long.

So I posted in the MK12 thread for thoughts of my build only to realize upon reading bits of that thread and other threads my Idea of the rife I wanted changed from an SPR clone to a SPR inspired build, in the sense that I would have no BUS and run a bi pod... that being said these are the build Items I had in mind. A BCM 14.5" barrel with a SilencerCo trifecta flash hider pined (then eventually the Staker can). Thinking of the Gem tech adjustable bolt carrier, or should I just get an adjustable gas block? Probably an Mlok or Keymod hand gaurd and Harris bi pod. Standard shit from there. Optics.. im not sure. I like primary arms for the value, I dont really know a ton about magnification and distance. What should be my goal in distance with this set up?

Can I play in the mini Recce thread?

I haven't fired the rifle like this yet, I just wanted to see what it would look like. It does make me consider getting a 1-6x optic though, maybe another SWFA
