It's a NF Multimount/RAP-i without the diving board, along with a Micro T2 adapter from KOENG. Last I checked they did not offer an RMR footprint yet but had one in the works and was supposedly releasing it this year sometime IIRC

Clone correct would be usually a tan Insight WMX200 or tan Surefire M600 with pressure switches. Id suggest the M600, its a bit lighter and way more brighter at 1,000 lumens vs 200 lumens from the WMX200

Excuse my ignorance but I’m a little out of the loop lately.

1 - Who all is being issued the S-VPS 1-8 ATACR?
2 - Is it being pushed as the mainstream magnified optic for the URGI - to replace the Elcan and similar?
3 - How widespread are they being used so far?

1- I believe its available to all of SOCOM. Whether a particular component of SOCOM uses them is up to the command and its members.

2- Not really just for the URG-I. SOCOM doesn't really do a lot of pushing these days. They simply make new stuff available and its up to each command what to use. The S-VPS program which brought the ATACR and Tango6 was started by Kevin Owens. He talks about it here:

S-VPS

3- Only really seeing SEALs and SF using them so far.

CD do you install a set screw on the DD gas block or do you just keep it pinned and call it good?

First the Mk12 gas block used on the URG uses two set screws.  The gas block on the URGI comes from DD already pinned.  IIRC there are NO set screw holes on the URGI pinned gas blocks.  What looks like a set screw hole isn’t ie not threaded nor is barrel dimpled

As always, thanks for the info CD. I guess if I used my brain I would realize it would be hard to get a set screw in there when the gas block isn't threaded.

The hole served the purpose to allow a drill to enter through the gas block to drill the gas port hole.

What's the consensus on the "most clone correct" sling?

BFG Vickers, Which one and in multicam? I think I've seen some padded and non-padded coyote

VTAC, padded or non and in multicam?

Ferro Concepts, slingster in multicam? I've seen a M81 woodland out there but they are unobtainable now..

Just there normal sling padded and un-padded. I think you're over thinking it. Slings vary ALLOT. They vary allot between units and even individuals within the same unit. Then there is individuals who use there own slings.

For example, here are some photos that CD posted that if I remember correctly are all from the same team. You can see there is 3-4 different slings just on this set.

I don't know if the steel QD sling inserts have been discussed here or not.

Pretty sure these are going to be clone correct for builds in 2024 and later.

Last I read on Reddit no units had received any yet, that they had heard of. Not sure if they are still getting any new supplied from Geissele or not. But their commercial production seems to all be going that route, so I would imagine any supplied to the military would have the "upgrade".

That's the M320 compatible MK16. They've always had the steel insert.

I wish they would have gone to steel, and put them somewhere where they’re actually useful.

Biggest gripe of the MK16 rail.  The swivel location sucks.

Vtac padded coyote is what a lot of teams have ordered because it has an nsn and you can get it through the supply system. But teams can also use team funds or GPC and buy whatever slings they prefer like a proctor sling. But honestly most guys buy their own or use whatever was left on the gun because it takes so long to get any purchases approved.

Or the issued magpul offsets, but to answer the original question yes it does. So does the 300m KAC.
