The following are my very two first firearms owned in the USA. Bought them just now, after "returning" to be a resident here.

Yeah I haven't had issues thus far...  Lots of BP on the line in the evenings so my biggest concern is making sure they aren't beyond what I'm shooting at.  For when I wanna be sneaky like the yotes and expect them to be a little further out....

Latest build...

BCM 14.5" Pinned Carbine Upper
BCM BCG (free ! )
KAC RAS
KAC Micro Rear BUIS
Magpul UBR
Magpul MOE+ grip
ALG ACT Trigger
T2 Buffer
JP Enterprises Buffer Spring
Aero Precision Sniper Grey Lower
BCM Ambi Charging handle

Waiting to decide on optic... thinking a 1-4. Hoping that I can get that U.S. Optics from Stickman's giveaway!  Accidentally ordered BCM Keymod vert grip, so waiting to get that exchanged.  Other than that, she's "done". Getting out this weekend to see how everything runs together.

Sorry for potato pics, but I don't have fancy cameras... and it's raining outside.

Black rifles look so good when they are new and clean. About the 1-4 scope, I have been through a few optics. I decided to go budget with an early generation Primary arms micro dot, then i bought a vortex strikefire, only to sell it and get a Leupold vxr patrol 1-4. Years later I wish I had just spent that money on one good red dot/holo optic (aimpoint/eotech), and built an 18" or 20" with at least a 3-9x40. The 1" tube, 20mm objective just appears so tiny. To each his own though!

Well, she's nothing much to look at, but here's my contribution.

First AR and first rifle. Tips the scales just over 7.5lbs, which *really surprised me. It always felt heavy, but wow. Guess it's the govt profile barrel and mid-length stuff?

Del-Ton 16" upper on an Anderson blem lower. Only upgrade was to the MOE K2 grip (A2 grip hurts too much).

Anyway...not one of the cool kids, but she's mine. :)

From what I can tell, it sure seems good. A lot better than the user at least. :)

I want to learn to shoot straight on irons before getting fancy with the glass, but I really have trouble with it beyond 50yds. Practice, practice, practice...

The OSS cans have a lot of benefits over many other cans on the market. They bring a lot to the table.

Whose upper?? Wish I had found that one before I got my 2 MUR's with just the deflector.

Sweer build,  digging the NSR/FSB look.

Thanks man.  It's a Hera Arms upper.  You'll be happy with the MUR's.  The Hera is pricey for what it is

Well, that... and,. I cant stand 16 inch barrels with suppressors... feels like I'm carrying a ladder.....

From what I can tell, the OSS covers the barrel... but how much of the barrel?

The OSS can comes in two pieces.  The first and larger portion only adds about 5 oz of weight in front of the muzzle. The rest of the weight is behind the muzzle. About 6" behind the muzzle (5.88 in)

When you combine the signature reduction module or 2nd portion of the can adds about 11.3 oz in front of the muzzle. So the full size OSS unit adds much less in front of the muzzle in terms of weight than typical full size cans.  Total length in front of the muzzle is 4.2"
