Why does DD only come with the A2 style front sight?
It just always "looks" wired to me especially where the top rail is interrupted and then continues in front of the sight. |

Yea I installed the rail myself it gave me a excuse to buy a action block and a wrench from brownells. I have about 1k flawless rounds through her it looks like it should be heavy but its not, i used to have a M&P15T before this gun and it felt heavy i think it is the width and the weight of the troy rail vs the omega x its a awesome kit. Oh and thank you AIM surplus you guys got me my BAD and enhanced butt pad fast and cheap you got my future business!

yep with a action block, vise, and a wrench it was a piece of cake. The omega X uses a dd lite barrel nut so you need that wrench too.I love excuses to buy tools

Your saying what im thinking. whats up with that?? Also how do the lights in front of the sight get turned on? Looks like it would be easy enough to put a pressure switch on. Or is it a pistol sight thats just stuck on there cause they can/ |

Or is it a pistol sight thats just stuck on there cause they can/ A pressure switch is not needed. Most lights in that position are pistol lights which would have the trigger guard behind them anyways so the FSB is no different. Another thing to think about is when you mount a surefire x300 or x400 at the 12 O'clock postion on a rail like this you get ambidextrous controls that you can hit with your thumb depending on your grip. Heres a video that shows what im talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38vySg-4Swc Pic thread. Old configuration |

Could someone tell me if that new omega rail still use a delta ring. I can't tell from the pics if thats a cover on there that goes over the delta ring or if it attaches with out one like a troy or samson rail. I like the cleaner surface on that rail. Smooth and not as much detail as the DD lites. Maybe easier to wipe down.
Thanks G |

I put this together on leave and have not shot it yet. The rail is awesome and it is the spray can KG from Brownells. When I get home I have another upper to put together with the same rail. This time however, it will be an SBR upper with another DD barrel. I had Adco mock up and upper so that only the flash hider will be exposed from under the DD RIS II rail so it is about 11.5" long. I can't wait to see what it looks like when done. i also painted the other DD RIS II in black as well. |

Well the AR bug bit me on my way home today because I finally got my first AR and it's a Daniel Defense M4. First impression so far, I really like it. It seems to be very well made as the fit and finish is very nice compare to my WASR AK. No pics = lies.... so....
