Not sure exactly what my budget is but would prefer to be under 2k.  If most of my shots are 200 yards are less would I be better going thermal or NV ?  Would like to be able or use during the day as well for deer.   I’ve looked at the ATN X-SIGHT 4K PRO 5-20X for NV and the AGM varmit and the Rattler 256.  Just don’t know if I want to drop that much $$$.  I love more vortex I have on my 300 blackout  any options for a a decent clip on ?   Thanks for any input

I am more than pleased with my Thermion 2 XP50
For your budget, a little over, perhaps a Pulsar Talion XQ38 Thermal Riflescope PL76561, has a 1024x768 AMOLED display. PSA has them for $2,200 on sale. But, I have never used one.
I'm sure others will chime in

Thermal is almost like cheating.

Save your money until you can get one. TNVC is a site sponsor and I've heard a lot of good stuff about them but ever dealt with them personally. Check them out.

Thermal for sure. Our group is partial to Pulsar.

I am pretty happy with the Sightmark Mini Thermal - could see a yote at some 500 yards in an open field.  Sad that the wind was blowing in the wrong directions and they would not come play!!!!!!!!!

Iray RH25 clip on is what I would buy if I didn’t want to ditch my day optic.

Bering optics hogster, there is a couple models around that price range. For low end thermal I’m pretty happy with it. It’s also compact enough to use as a monocle in your pocket if your using something else.
