Happy to announce the new Griffin Armament MK2 Full Ambi Rifles are here. These have some of the highest quality lower receivers ever to be made. Based on a proprietary Griffin Armament 7075-T6 Forging. Mil-Spec or better tolerances to include the fire control pocket, all hole locations, sizes, and all tolerances. The MK2's feature all the original features of the MK1, plus full ambi controls, and overtravel adjustable triggers. Sights are no longer included as a standard item, this is in the interest of having a more competitive MSRP and sale feature set to most competitors.
The weight specification in the video wasn't traced to any rifle in particular- the marketing department was supposed to replace that with an actual weight, but I can see that didn't happen. I weighed a 12.5" MK2 at approximately 5lbs 14 ounces. The weights will depend on the chosen barrel / rail length and contour. Most of our barrels are medium contour or heavier. Shout out to some of the people who had asked about or who I had mentioned the rifles to sorry in advance to anyone I dragged in here who has no interest whatsoever. I just figured it would help people see the gun.

Cool, will queue the video up after my morning meetings. Are there any special considerations for left handed folks on the upper? I know you mentioned the lower is ambi.
ETA: meetings ran short and had time, I see it comes with the SN-ACH on the upper. |

I already found a used MK2 rifle for sale.
That didn't take long. |

For a rifle to be available used right now, it would have to be a content creator / T&E reviewer selling a gun before shooting the content, or a rifle imported from Poland because thats the only place we have sold mk2 rifles right now. The first content creator got one like three days ago. |

The righti handed people get a more accessible bolt catch/release for clearing things like the staged double feed in the video. (These don’t happen often but the normal manual of arms makes that slow to clear without an ambi lower). 60 degree mag well is nice to have, precision tolerances and perfectly centered geometry is nice also. |

Originally Posted By StillGonnaSendIt: Is the Mk1 now discontinued? I’ve been looking for an Mk1 rifle for a year now lol View Quote @StillGonnaSendIt No we build Mk1's every day. Distributor support was not good, they are only available at some dealers. We are going to be selling rifles and SBR's off our website, allowing people to easily purchase them going forward. The MK1's come with ambi selectors and charging handles, and if you'll notice the MK1 and MK2 prices are very conservatively close together, so we're only charging a nominal difference for the ambi features and nicer lower receiver. |

Can CS help if we want something a little different, like change the muzzle device, fluted barrel, or a longer handguard on a shorter barrel?

They can create an invoice billed through customer service, and assembly can then assemble it to the invoice. https://www.griffinarmament.com/contact-us/company-contacts/ |

Kit Badger's first look at the MK2. Unboxing starts at 4:00, and the ambi controls weren't maybe noticed.
The rifle sounded nice IMO, and the ejection pattern on the 12.5 mid gas MK2 was pretty nice with the can. 1st Look: Griffin Mk2 / Recce 5k / Holosun 507Comp / Keith Ti |

Originally Posted By Luvman: Excellent looking lower! You guys are gonna have to invest in a horizontal machining center to keep up with demand me thinks View Quote Thanks. We definitely priced them to make an argument for people to see them as affordable. I think we would scale on vmc’s. The process doesn’t really suit having 16 lowers on a tombstone, because the probing and settup would just explode into a 8-12 months to get the job running, unless we loosened all the tolerances and just ran lowers like you can get from all the other companies with stuff like the receiver extension hole .012” out of center. There is a considerable amount of work in getting workholding accurately holding a forging. If we blew up the scope of the settup, I would expect all that work to be multiplied by maybe six fold. If we have a capacity issue we will buy another BVM5700, and set it up on the same process, and staff a third shift. This job is in one of our 5 mills on a semi-permanent settup. |

Added 110 SASS Actual’s review of 12.5 mid serial 110 MK2 SBR with Griffin HRT suppressor.
Its worth noting that the gas situation he is describing might be too much concentration of gas from the charging handle vent during near full auto rapid fire, which isn’t an issue in slower rof shooting. RTV silicone could easily plug that vent if desired. We could also look into directing the vent forward. That may also help. We have a two stage trigger in production so we are moving toward satisfying his other improvement suggestion. |
