That is fine and you can play with springs and buffers to fine tune. Smaller if you will only run NATO spec ammo. Personally I would just stick with what you've got.

This page needed a picture.  Ive decided I am sending the HHS2 Eotech back for the settlement.  I love the Actual EOTech, but with the Magnifier it makes it too heavy for what I want, and for some reason it just bothered me to have it hanging off to the side.  And the 2-2 doesn't have NV capability ( I plan on getting some at some point in the next few years)  This way, I get my full refund, then I will just get a 3-0.

In the mean time, I picked up a used Aimpoint Comp M2 (not 100% sure what mount it is in).  I also picked up a used Surefire 952.  Both will be going on this.  Im waiting on my corn cob.

Are there even any PEQ2's out there?  Or is there an acceptable alternative?  Here is the last pick I took with the HHS2 system on there.

I think I will have a pretty accurate CQBR Block 1 at least according to the 1st page of this thread.  Thoughts?

Too low for me, it's more like lower 1/10 lol.  No other 1/3 lines up that low for me, at least none of my Aimpoints anyway.  Must be an EoTech thing.

EE is going to be the best deal for those. Otherwise you'll wind up spending $20/each.

I may have an LMT rear for you. I'm away from my stuff right now but I'll see about getting you hooked up. Got one more guy waiting on my Aimpoint, just waiting for a friend to be able to get to my safe.

Keep an eye on the lights in EE.  I picked up yesterday a M952 thick body for $85.  I already have a thin body M962 and gonna swap them out.  I've also seen some used thick body M962's lately as well.

Yeah, its a diamond in the rough when it comes to San Antonio... Previous to arriving at Lackland I assumed there was a lot run and gun free to do but I learned quickly that everything is private property. I love the place and practically go out every weekend :P

Hello all! I've been lurking on this site for a very long time and started to get stuck in this thread after seeing all of your builds. I'm hoping to build a Block II clone(ish) on a Form 1 80% lower soon.

I acquired a couple of MK18 FDE rails; 1 newer production I think, and 1 that is slightly used with date code 11JUNE10. I'm used to seeing the "MK18 RIS...NSN...." etched on the top left side of the rail (the same way my M4A1 RIS, and M4A1 FSP that I used to have are etched on the top left side), but this old one has it on the top right side. I'm wondering if this is normal. I don't think it's fake as DD has been known to change up their laser markings from time to time, but you never know these days so I'm hoping someone can chime in. I'd like to keep the old one and sell the new one.

Sorry it's kind of hard to see the lettering because of the camera flash. Here's the old one with the date code 11JUNE10:

Compared to the newer rail. I believe DD stopped marking them with a date code at some point. Also these markings are brighter white:

Old one on top, new one on bottom:

Old one on top, new one on bottom:

Helicoils. Old one on top, new one on bottom:

And just for kicks here's my 80%. Need to find a FFL anodizer or may end up just using Cerakote H:

Also of note, I believe in one of these pages someone showed a newer rail next to an older one where the inner diameter was different. My old one has an I.D. of about 1.15" and the new one is around 1.25". Besides that and the laser markings, the rails are almost identical including the mounting hardware.

Mod 0 on its way. Swapped the colt carry handle for LMT rear,  added a RAS and M3x. Stamp paperwork submitted and will be sent to ADCO in the near future for 10.3 chop and thread. Only other thing I need to source yet is a side sling mount.

Attachment Attached File

My gemtech halo fits nice on it as well, a bit front heavy since they are beefy suppressors but should balance out once I can actually put the B5 SOPMOD on it.
