My only wish is that they bring back the 18 inch handguards in both full top rail and the LW version with only 3-5 slots fore and aft on the top. That is my favorite rail to use on my 24 inch barrels, which is the length I mostly use these days for my cats.

I recently bought one of the MI Slim Line 9.25 handguards. Love the rail but I had to shave a considerable portion off the bottom of my gas block for clearance.
Not your fault obviously but is there a model gas block you'd recommend? It's free floating now but I'd say an index card barely fits in the 6 o'clock gaps. Is this sufficient to avoid detriment to accuracy? |

Our low profile (LPG) and most gas blocks we have tried have zero issues . The I.D is the same we have used for over a decade making hand guards. We may run FDE versions but in the environment we are currently in with sales we will not .

I got a set of the M.I. two-piece carbine length quad rail guards a couple of months ago.
Liked them so much I purchased two more sets along with their quick detach sling swivels. Awesome product and awesome service. Thanks

Hi Troy,
I am in the process of building (buying all the parts) for my first AR15 ever. I have the AeroPrecision upper and lower and a 16" barrel. I was thinking 15" originally but now think a 13.7 or 13.375 or even 14" would be good for a first time owner. Would you have any recommendations as I know its a broad question to ask but looking for pictures if you have them available of just a point in the right direction. Thanks in advance. |

Any of those are great choices . The gun in the picture above is a 15 inch model on a 16 inch barrel. My personal favorite is a 14 . I do not have any installed G4 pictures of a 14 . You could drill a small pilot hole in the barrel nut for the stud on the torque plate... or you could go through the process and change out the barrel nut. But, you could just build another rifle as well. |

I have the 20” heavy .223 barrel with the .875” gas block under aBCM KMR which has the same 1.3” ID. I put a SLR titanium gas block on. It was tight, and if you press on the barrel it will make contact with the rail at the gas block. No issues during live fire. |

The handguard now has the anti rotation tabs built in at the rear of the handguard, and the stud on that torque plate fits into the groove on the barrel nut to prevent forward movement. Now, it shares the same torque plate and barrel nut of the Combat Rail, the SLH (my personal favorite), and the T Series quad rail. |
