Well, finally pulled the trigger on a 14.5" BCM SOCOM upper and other bits. Looks like my PR build is in full swing.

Having owned both I can tell you which one I still own and which one I do not own any longer. I still have the T1. If you asked me which one I prefered I'd say the Exps3-0 in terms of actually using it - the bigger window and the reticle are nice. However, the battery life, the durability, and the practicality paired with my own money being invested led me to keep the T1. In terms of clone correct - if that's what you want then go with an EO as it is much more common than a T1. Having used the T1 for awhile and shooting a few carbine matches with it I really like how quickly and easily it is to change the brightness with the rheostat as opposed to hitting buttons multiple times for up and down as well. If I could build the perfect red-dot/holo it would be an Eotech reticle and window paired with 50,000 hour battery life, always on, and a rheostat to crank the brightness up and down. My final closing thoughts are this: The T1 is 'there'. It is what it should be in terms of battery life, durability, and usability. I could use a T1 for the next decade and I wouldn't assume that there would be any major changes in the platform. On the other hand what gets me excited about Eotech's is that they are not the perfect platform and I await to see some significant improvements over the next decade. The platform can benefit greatly from increase of technology.. more efficient electronics and better batteries. I'd say own a T1 now, and keep an eye on how EO's progress in the future. Thanks! Do you or anyone else find the eotech to be wide for the ar15? Doesn't feel or look wide on a rifle with a quad rail. Does feel and look wide on a rifle with a newer KMR or NSR rail. |

So far I have a good plan on what I will do where, but I can't decide on an optic. More than likely, I'll go with a tan EXPS3-0, but I have been tempted to go with another TA01NSN and slap a Docter sight on it. Opinions? View Quote I like the FSP, I'd paint it and call it good. ACOG is nice on there as well, I prefer to have some magnification, either a scope or RDS with magnifier. |

I'm liking that PR M4A1... Might be my next build for my extra Colt SOCOM lower. |

Same here. I just got a 14.5" BCM SOCOM upper for my build and now I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do for optics. I'm thinking about putting my EXPS3-0 on the PR and then getting some magnification for the Block II.

Best of luck That's why if someone wants to make an offer, they're more than open to such a thing. Block II is a fun setup, but daaayyyum, prices add up quickly! My focus now is factory rifles and continuing training. While I know my shit, it's time consuming and spendy. Figure I'll likely remove the optic(s) then price it lower and sell those separately. In the mean time, I can leave it up for a weekend. |

The plastic container, dual switch connections are correct, color of polymer is correct, rail grabber on light is tan & not black, operators manual is correct. Take a look at an Airsoft offering on eBay & you can determine the difference. To their credit (I know) most of the Airsoft pushers; especially from China or elsewhere in the vicinity will advertise their wares as such from the beginning. |
