The easiest and cheapest fix is to place the Sylvan securely in the trash and install a Law gen 3.
You may not like the way it be, but it do. |

Which QD Mounts have you tried? QD Cup is probably out of spec.
I've been a bit iffy on Sylvan's products. IIRC their first folder adapter was made in China. Anyways they have improved, but it's hard to pass up the LAW especially when Brownells constantly does "Flash Sales" for $200 The LAW is steel, and actually has a NSN assigned to it. It's pretty damn heavy though. According to Sylvan their adapter is 7075 aluminum. Great for light weight, but I'm skeptical on durability. |

You’re more than welcome to proceed however you want with your issue, but posting accurate information for others who may be reading and interested in the info is never a bad thing. For numerous reasons (that were already covered), the Sylvan hinges are inferior to LAW Tactical. Just is what it is. |

I don't know what you're expecting to hear in this thread.
If the qd hole is out of spec, then your options are to replace it or live with it. If the company will replace it for you, then great. Hopefully the replacement isn't also out of spec. No one here is going to be able to give you some kind of shortcut to make it work. But they can advise that if you want a better chance at your equipment being in spec, there are superior options. |
