I was hoping to find an Aimpoint Comp M4 (current-issue M68 CCO). These used to be pretty common on the used market now seem to be hen’s teeth?

I think when aimpoint released the aimpoint pro, people stopped buying the cimp m4. You got 80% the comp m4 with 50% the price. The t1 and t2 had a big impact on it as well and now comp m5.

There's always some on the EE.

The CompM4s is not only the standard issue optic for the DOD, but also many ally NATO militaries.  European countries have drastically increased military spending over the past year due to fears of the Russia/Ukraine war spreading.  It's very possible that all the M4s's are going over there.

People have definitely gravitated more towards micros.  The M4S is starting to approach LPVO weights

They are on the EE for 550-700 with regularity. Lately I've seen many.

I mean micros are really light weight but a 12 oz w/mount comp4s is less than half most  all LPVOs  weights still.

M4s are usually still on the EE regularly.  I think Eurooptic has them in stock if you want new

I ended up getting one from the EE. Was probably a little dry spell with the transition from old EE to new EE.

I think you were just missing them. New listings (counting S models) pop up weekly. Glad you got one.
