Almost pulled the trigger but saw that the Burris 1-8 is now out. Obviously its more money, but its certainly priced right.

Disregard I found it, Botach, it shows $579 until you add it to the cart. I've got one enroute and I'll update this thread once I get it.

I really hate this place. Yall are going to make me end up divorced.

Where have you guys found this for $479 with the lever? DSG Arns has runs specials. There's another vendor I won;t mention that has had deals. Why is that vendor unmentionable? I placed an order last week, and UPS is showing I should have my optic in a couple of days. What am I missing? |

2.5 months away from SHOT 2017 wonder what new and interesting optics solutions are in the pipeline...
Steiner P6XI maybe? |
|
|
uhhm well given that a T5Xi is going for $1,400 I won't hold my breath waiting for the P6Xi for $800 but it would be nice. Back to reality, I ordered the P4Xi yesterday from Botach, $479 with the lever. Today I received a UPS tracking # so maybe this just might work out. I know it's a little like buying a ticket on a discount airline and hoping they get you where you wanted to go on the day you wanted to get you there.

Well I just ordered a second one, I'll wait for shot show before I order a 3rd .

I just got one. Eye box is just okay imo, weight okay, good glass for the money, and good eye relief. Reticle is easy to pick up though bdc is quite fine. Red dot works great. Now we just need one of you to test it's durability and how well it holds zero.

So how is the glass clarity of this optic vs say an ACOG or a Vortex Razor 1-6, as those are current options for my X95.
|
|
To me personally it is as clear as the vortex 1-6 and acog. I am going Friday to shoot so I will be able to test it at various ranges.

Got mine, mounted in an AeroPrecision lightweight SPR mount. Love the glass, love the illumination. Turrets are a bit mushy as noted earlier in this thread.
On that note, one thing I've noticed on mine is that the turret clicks on my windage knob are audible and tactile going one direction, but only tactile (not audible) going the other direction. Has anyone else experienced this? Doesn't matter to me a whole lot cause I can still feel the clicks and I usually just "set and forget" on a low mag 1-4x scope. Still on sale at Botach for $479+ throw lever BTW |

Trying to decide on which Aero mount for this scope and would like to see how much further forward the SPR places the optic versus the extended. |
|
I would get the SPR mount. I have it at the farthest forward pic rail section on my upper and the back of the scope has the most flexibility near the charging handle. You could probably get away with just getting their extended 30mm version but I like their SPR mounts to give me flex around the positions. Just my $0.02

Just ordered one from Botach with the throw lever, along with a Larue LT104. The rings on the Larue mount are supposed to be torqued to 30 on the bottom and 25 on the top, right? Really hoping that this does the trick for me - I picked up an Accupower recently (thankfully at kind of steal) but ended up getting rid of it in short order because it wasn't very bright and the segmented reticle is just too distracting. If not, I think I'll just have to settle for an Aimpoint and magnifier.
|
|
I judged ordered from DSG for $453 with the throw lever (Mil Discount). It will go in an LT-104. When I first saw one at Bass Pro, I was impressed... Looking forward to it.

Does the P4Xi have internal spare battery storage? I was just curious.

So is there a consensus that these are duty ready yet?
Are they gtg in that regard? |
|
|
Well I'm intrigued. Has anyone seen these cheaper than the $479 Botach is running? Maybe something for Black Friday/Cyber Monday?

I Spent hrs today looking for this scope seems only a couple places had these initially. Botach are still $479 but their out of stock. Any suggestions on who may have some? Also looking for a MRO but finding no deals on these either.

Yep the optics planet with code "trij16p" is gtg, just picked one up for around $385. For an MRO that is great in my book. Also expecting my P4xi in tomorrow. Looking forward to comparing it to my others 2 Steiner's.
